  • Broncos' Tyler Badie: Spending offseason in Denver

Denver signed Badie to a reserve/future contract Monday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports. Badie was with the Broncos' practice squad since late October, and the team apparently saw enough to give him a chance to compete for a spot on their 53-man roster in OTAs and training camp. Badie boasts good speed, but at 5-foot-8, 197 lbs., it's unlikely he'll ever see a bellcow workload in the NFL.

  • Broncos' Tyler Badie: Bumped up Saturday

The Broncos elevated Badie to their active roster Saturday. Badie has spent the majority of the year on Denver's practice squad, and he's now in line to appear in his first game since 2022 this Sunday. The 23-year-old's elevation could mean that the Broncos are preparing to be without running back Samaje Perine (knee) in Week 14.

  • Tyler Badie: Returns to Denver

Badie is signing with the Broncos' practice squad Wednesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. Badie was waived by Denver on Tuesday but will join the team's practice squad ahead of the regular season. He spent most of the 2022 campaign on the Ravens' practice squad.

  • Tyler Badie: Gets cut loose

Badie was waived by the Broncos on Tuesday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports. Badie was signed by Denver off the Ravens' practice squad last December, but he was unable to secure a spot for 2023. The Missouri product saw one carry last season but didn't gain any yardage.

  • Tyler Badie: Parts ways with Ravens

Badie terminated his practice squad contract with Baltimore on Wednesday, per the NFL's transaction log. Badie was taken by the Ravens in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft and saw ample opportunity in the preseason, but he failed to make the 53-man roster and was subsequently waived. The Missouri product then signed to Baltimore's practice squad and spent the entire season there before terminating his contract Wednesday. It's unclear if he's found another team, but after rushing for 1,604 yards and 14 touchdowns and adding another 330 yards and four TDs as a pass catcher in his senior collegiate season last year, there figures to be some interest in him from other organizations.

  • Tyler Badie: Back with Baltimore

The Ravens signed Badie to their practice squad Wednesday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports. Badie, a rookie sixth-round pick, saw a lot of work during the preseason but didn't land a spot on the initial 53-man roster. However, he'll look to refine his craft and maybe garner a promotion or two while he spends the majority of his first NFL season on the practice squad.

  • Ravens' Tyler Badie: Gets second-half work

Badie rushed 12 times for 34 yards and caught two of three targets for five yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-17 win over Arizona. Badie finished the game with the most carries for the Ravens' banged-up backfield, but all of those attempts came in the second half, and the rookie didn't do a whole lot with the volume presented. Badie will continue battling for a roster spot in the preseason finale against the Commanders on Saturday.

  • Ravens' Tyler Badie: Busy in preseason opener

Badie had six carries for 19 yards and added one reception for nine yards in Thursday's preseason opener against the TItans. Baltimore deployed five different running backs Thursday as it looks to identify depth behind its presumptive starters who were not in action for the first preseason game. Badie, a rookie, got the most carries on the team but managed just 3.2 yards per carry. The volume was encouraging in that Baltimore clearly wants to see what it has in the rookie out of Missouri, but Badie's output will need to improve as the preseason progresses. Veterans Mike Davis and Corey Clement stand as Badie's biggest hurdles for a reserve role behind J.K. Dobbins (knee) and Gus Edwards (knee).

  • Ravens' Tyler Badie: Moves to Baltimore

The Ravens selected Badie in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 196th overall. Badie was excellent in his lone year as a starter at Missouri, tallying 1,604 rushing yards and 330 receiving yards across 54 receptions. The latter is important because at 5-foot-8, 197 pounds, the 22-year-old likely operates as a change-of-pace or receiving back at the NFL level. The senior will likely compete with Justice Hill for the aforementioned role, one that saw the 2019 fourth-round pick accumulate 64 total touches and 295 total yards last season with the Ravens.
