  • Vikings' Theo Jackson: Re-signs with Minnesota

    The Vikings re-signed Jackson (toe) on Wednesday. Jackson was set to be an exclusive rights free agent this offseason, but he quickly came to terms on a new deal with the Vikings to keep him in the fold for 2024. The 2022 sixth-round pick played in 15 games for Minnesota last season, logging 126 snaps on defense and another 260 on special teams and finishing with 21 tackles (14 solo) and one interception. He missed the final two games of 2023 with a toe injury, but the health concern doesn't look to be anything that will threaten his availability for training camp.

    Jackson had four total tackles and an interception in Thursday's loss at Philadelphia. Jackson got some playing time when Josh Metellus left for a series or so after being shaken up. Jackson played 21 of the defense's 75 snaps. He's mostly playing on special teams along with a reserve role in the secondary, but his interception could get him more snaps on defense.
