Bears' Michael Ojemudia: Plays primarily on special teams
Ojemudia didn't post a tackle in the Bears' 29-13 loss to the Vikings in Week 18 and ended the season with no statistics over two games played.
Ojemudia was signed by the Bears ahead of Week 17 after spending time with the Broncos earlier in the season. While with Denver, he played two defensive snaps and 23 snaps on special teams. He's under contract with the team through the 2023 season, and he'll likely compete for a roster spot in training camp.

Bears' Michael Ojemudia: Lands in Chicago
The Bears have claimed Ojemudia off waivers, Larry Mayer of the team's official website reports.
Ojemudia has been with the Broncos since being drafted in 2020 in the third-round of the NFL Draft. He had played in just three games with them this season before ultimately getting waived earlier this week. The third-year cornerback will now add depth to Chicago's secondary.

The Broncos waived Ojemudia on Tuesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
The 2020 third-rounder has dealt with injuries almost constantly since his rookie season, and his only having played two defensive snaps this year probably factored into Denver's decision to part ways with him. Presuming he's not claimed by another team during the current waiver period, Ojemudia is set to become an unrestricted free agent.

Broncos' Michael Ojemudia: Hoping to be available by Monday
Head coach Nathaniel Hackett said that he hopes to have Ojemudia (elbow) on the team's active roster and off injured reserve by Monday night's contest versus the Chargers, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Ojemudia was placed on IR after suffering a dislocated elbow in August, and he's since missed the team's first first five games as a result. If the 200-pound cornerback is indeed elevated to Denver's active roster before Monday night's matchup against the Chargers, he'll likely serve as a depth piece in the Broncos' secondary behind Patrick Surtain, K'Waun Williams (wrist) and Damarri Mathis (knee).

Broncos' Michael Ojemudia: Back at practice

Ojemudia was able to practice with the team Tuesday as a result, and he could return to play as soon as Monday against the Chargers. However, he will need to be activated to the 53-man roster before then, which the team now has three weeks to do.

Broncos' Michael Ojemudia: Suffers elbow injury
Ojemudia left the game with an elbow injury during Denver's 42-15 preseason loss at Buffalo on Saturday.
It's unclear how severe the injury is, but more should be known upon another update from the team. The 24-year-old corner also left last week's preseason game versus Dallas prematurely to enter concussion protocol, and he missed 15 games due to a hamstring injury last season. Until he's ready to play again, K'Waun Williams and Damarri Mathis should see increased reps.
