Darius Kilgo: Cleared from virus list
The Broncos activated Kilgo from the practice squad COVID-19 list Wednesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Kilgo was placed on the list Dec. 3, but it was unclear whether he tested positive for the virus or came into close contact with someone who did. In either case, Kilgo will return to the practice squad hoping to earn the call to a 53-man roster this season.

Darius Kilgo: Hits practice squad COVID list
The Broncos placed Kilgo (undisclosed) on the practice squad reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
The Broncos aren't able to disclose whether Kilgo has tested positive for COVID-19 or simply come into close contact with someone who has. Whatever the case, the nose tackle will need to attain full clearance before being allowed to rejoin teammates.

The Patriots cut Kilgo on Saturday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Kilgo linked with New England earlier this offseason, but he failed to secure a depth role with the team. The nose tackle is fully healthy after having spent the entire 2019 campaign on Detroit's' injured reserve list due to a torn quadriceps.

Kilgo signed with the Patriots on Tuesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Kilgo was medically cleared after recovering from a torn quadriceps early in August. The 28-year-old nose tackle will seek to play his first NFL game since notching five tackles over 11 contests with the Titans in 2018.

The free agent defensive tackle has been medically cleared and will now look to catch on somewhere as a depth interior lineman after spending the 2019 season on the Lions' IR list.

Kilgo was claimed off waivers by the Patriots on Monday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Denver Post reports.
After playing in nine games for the Broncos this season the team opted to waive him prior to Week 12. Kilgo figures to help provide depth on the defensive line for the Patriots. Rookie D.J. Foster was waived to make room in a corresponding roster move.

Kilgo's release allowed for the team to sign long snapper Thomas Gifford to the active roster. They'll now be a bit thin at defensive tackle, however, with Sylvester Williams primarily carrying the load.
