Jets' Nick Bawden: Re-signs with New York
The Jets re-signed Bawden (undisclosed) on Monday, Howard Balzer of GoPHNX.com reports.
Bawden missed the entirety of the 2022 season with an undisclosed injury but will look to bounce back next season. Currently the only fullback on the roster, the 26-year-old should have the opportunity to help open up holes for Breece Hall and the rest of the Jets backfield next year in addition to providing value as a special teamer.

Jets' Nick Bawden: Lands on IR
Bawden (undisclosed) was placed on the Jets' injured reserve Tuesday, Andy Vasquez of NJ.com reports.
It's unclear what injury Bawden is dealing with, but he will be forced to miss the entirety of the regular season unless he can negotiate an injury settlement with the team. The 26-year-old fullback recorded one catch for 20 yards over nine games with the team in 2021, though he primarily played on special teams (164 of his 220 total snaps) over that span.

Bawden caught his only target for a 20-yard gain in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Dolphins.
Elevated from the practice squad for the second consecutive week, Bawden made a positive contribution on his only touch. Hopefully the Jets were impressed with what they saw from the fullback, as they'll need to sign Bawden to the roster in order to use him in game action moving forward.

Lions' Nick Bawden: Shut down for season
Bawden (knee) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
Bawden's season is over after he suffered a knee injury during this past Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. The second-year fullback averaged 12.7 offensive snaps per game this year, catching four of six targets for 17 yards. The Lions don't have another fullback on their active or practice rosters, so they may choose to fill the void via a free agent.

Lions' Nick Bawden: Done for day
Bawden (knee) won't return to Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
Bawden left the game late in the second quarter and, as evidenced by this news, the issue will keep him out of the remainder of the game. The team is without another healthy fullback on the roster, so it's unclear how they'll operate going forward.

Bawden (knee) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
Bawden popped up on the injury report with a foot injury Saturday, but, as evidenced by this news, seems to be dealing with a new issue. The 2018 seventh-round pick is the team's only fullback on the roster, so it's unclear how the offense will approach things while Bawden is sidelined.

Lions' Nick Bawden: Still without a carry in 2019
Bawden logged 16 offensive snaps during Sunday's 31-26 victory over the Giants.
Bawden shook off a back injury to play in Week 7 against Minnesota and then worked through a foot injury to play Sunday against New York. However, he didn't handle any offensive touches despite the absence of Kerryon Johnson (knee). If he wasn't a factor this week, it seems unlikely that the fullback will ever get many opportunities to make a dent in the stat sheet.

Bawden overcame a back injury to take the field last week, but it was a foot issue that limited his practice time in advance of the home matchup against New York.
