Wizards' Delon Wright: Out at least three more weeks
Wright (hamstring) has been cleared to begin individual on-court activities, but he'll be out for at least another three weeks.
Wright is making tangible progress in his recovery, but his absence will bleed into December and potentially longer. Jordan Goodwin and Monte Morris should continue seeing increased roles in Wright's stead.... See More ... See Less
Wizards' Delon Wright: Will be evaluated by end of week
Wright (hamstring) is expected to be reevaluated by the end of the weekend, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
Hamstring injuries are always tricky and Wright has missed 12 games in a row. There's no clear timetable for his return, but the upcoming evaluation should provide a better feel to understand when the veteran might be able to return to action.... See More ... See Less
Wizards' Delon Wright: Ruled out indefinitely
Wright has been ruled out indefinitely due to a Grade 2 strain of his right hamstring.
Wright sustained a hamstring injury in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's matchup, and the issue will force him to miss significant time. The 30-year-old will be re-evaluated in around three weeks, but he's expected to be sidelined for approximately 6-8 weeks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Johnny Davis will likely have a chance to see increased playing time in Wright's absence.... See More ... See Less
Wizards' Delon Wright: Exits early Tuesday
Wright exited Tuesday's 120-98 victory over Detroit early due to a hamstring injury, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Wright posted five points (2-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three assists, two rebounds, one block and added a game-high four steals before leaving the contest early with an apparent hamstring injury. The severity of the injury is unknown at the moment, and the guard should be considered day-to-day moving forward. Johnny Davis will likely see an increased role if Wright is ultimately ruled out for the team's next contest against the Pacers on Friday.... See More ... See Less
Wizards' Delon Wright: Signs deal with Washington
Wright and the Wizards agreed to a two-year, $16 million contract Thursday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
After one season with Atlanta, Wright will join the Wizards' backcourt where he figures to play a key role off the bench. In his lone season with the Hawks, the guard averaged 4.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals in 18.9 minutes of action. Expect the 30-year-old veteran to see minutes behind Johnny Davis, Monte Morris and Bradley Beal.... See More ... See Less
Hawks' Delon Wright: Moves back to bench
Wright will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Thunder, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.
With De'Andre Hunter (knee) set to rejoin the lineup Wednesday, Wright will return to a bench role. He chipped in nine points, two rebounds, one assist, three steals and two blocks as a starter in Monday's win over the Pacers.... See More ... See Less
Hawks' Delon Wright: Enters starting lineup
Wright will start Monday's game against Indiana, Mike Conti of the Atlanta Hawks Radio Network reports.
The veteran guard will make his eighth start of the season since De'Andre Hunter (knee) is a late scratch to play against the Pacers. Wright has averaged only 6.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.5 steals in 22.5 minutes over the past four games but could see more involvement Monday.... See More ... See Less
Hawks' Delon Wright: Solid production off bench
Wright supplied eight points (3-3 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals over 27 minutes during Sunday's 117-112 loss to New Orleans.
With Trae Young (quadriceps) back in action following a one-game absence, Wright returned to his usual bench role. The backup point guard fed off the momentum from his strong play as the starter (18 points, six assists and five steals) and put together another solid outing Sunday, though he likely doesn't warrant much fantasy consideration as a reserve.... Hawks' Delon Wright: Excels as starter
Wright posted 18 points (7-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt), three rebounds, six assists, one block and five steals across 32 minutes during Friday's 120-105 victory over Memphis.
Wright started in place of Trae Young (quadriceps) and while he didn't have the same impact as the star point guard, he recorded a strong stat line. In fact, both the 18-point and six-assist marks were the second-best outputs for him this season. Expect the veteran to see an uptick in his upside as long as Young remains out.... See More ... Hawks' Delon Wright: Starting for Young
Wright will start Friday's game against the Grizzlies, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.
With Trae Young (quadriceps) sidelined, Wright will replace him in Atlanta's starting five. The 29-year-old is averaging 4.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 18.0 minutes per game this season, but he should see an increased role as long as Young remains out.... See More ... See Less
Hawks' Delon Wright: Headed back to bench
Wright will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Hornets, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.
Wright made a spot start Monday against Portland while Atlanta dealt with a few key injuries, but he'll move back to the bench as the Hawks roll with Clint Capela, Danilo Gallinari, De'Andre Hunter, Kevin Huerter and Trae Young. Wright finished Monday's victory with four points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals in 30 minutes.... See More ... See Less
Hawks' Delon Wright: Sees substantial run in win
Wright had four points (0-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, four assists, one block and three steals across 30 minutes during Monday's 122-113 win over the Trail Blazers.
With both John Collins (finger) and Danilo Gallinari (Achilles) out, Wright slid into the starting lineup. He brings length to a defensively-challenged Hawks team. However, the 29-year-old will rarely have a fantasy-relevant role moving forward.... See More ... See Less
Hawks' Delon Wright: Slides into starting role
Wright is starting Monday's game against Portland, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.
Wright will draw his sixth start of the 2021-2022 season with both John Collins (finger) and Danilo Gallinari (Achilles) out. Hawks' Delon Wright: Dishes five assists
Wright chipped in four points (2-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists and two steals in 27 minutes during Monday's 113-110 overtime loss to the Pistons.
With Kevin Huerter (shoulder) out, Wright was called on to fill the majority of the vacated backcourt minutes. Receiving his most playing time since mid-January, Wright didn't quite capitalize on the opportunity. He was the only member of the second unit to rack up multiple assists, but he was also vastly outscored by Lou Williams (13 points, 17 minutes). Wright isn't a noteworthy part of Atlanta's rotation at this time.... See More ... See Less
Hawks' Delon Wright: Good to go
Wright (groin) will be available Tuesday against Cleveland.
As expected, Wright will not miss any time despite dealing with a sore groin. The backup point guard has been a consistent force behind Trae Young all season, but he typically doesn't hold enough of a role to warrant fantasy consideration. Wright has reached double figures in scoring just once in his last 21 appearances.... See More ... See Less

Coach Nate McMillan said Wright (groin) "should be ready to go" for Tuesday's contest against the Cavaliers, Brad Rowland of PeachtreeHoops.com reports. He's officially listed as questionable.
Despite being listed as questionable, Wright is expected to play after going through the team's morning shootaround. Over his last five appearances, the backup point guard has averaged 4.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 steals in 19.2 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less
