The Boston Celtics are on the verge of their 18th NBA title as they hold a 3-0 series lead with Game 4 of the 2024 NBA Finals taking place on Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET. With Jayson Tatum struggling with his shot, Jaylen Brown is the frontrunner to be named Finals MVP, as he's also been the Most Valuable Player in NBA DFS lineups. With his price tag on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings on the rise, what low-cost but potentially high-reward options from the Game 4 NBA DFS player pool can you surround Brown with?

Mavericks center Dereck Lively II is coming off an 11-point, 13-rebound performance, making him the first rookie in 31 years to post a double-double in the Finals. Meanwhile, Jrue Holiday continues to fill up the stat sheet, and he isn't losing you any NBA DFS points as he's yet to commit a turnover in the series. Your daily Fantasy basketball strategy has to have a mix of expensive stars and economical role players. Before making your NBA DFS picks for Game 4 of Mavericks vs. Celtics, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks, and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine's Jimmie Kaylor.

In Game 3 on Wednesday, Kaylor highlighted Mavs guard Luka Doncic one of his top picks in his NBA DFS player pool on both sites. The result: Doncic had 27 points, six rebounds, six assists and a steal, returning 44.5 points on DraftKings and 43.2 points on FanDuel. Anybody who included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Top NBA DFS picks for Friday, June 14

For Game 4 on Friday, one of Kaylor's top NBA DFS picks is Celtics forward Brown. He's coming off a 30-point, eight-rebound, eight-assist outing in Game 3, making him just the second Celtics player ever with a 30-8-8 stat line in a Finals game. He found weaknesses in Dallas' defense as the game progressed as he scored 24 of his 30 points in the second half, and that's something that will serve him well going into Game 4. Brown has arguably been Boston's best player in the 2024 NBA playoffs as he has seven straight games with at least 20 points on 50% shooting, which is tied with Larry Bird for the longest streak in Celtics' postseason history.

Brown also has a seven-game streak against the Mavs alone in which he's shot at least 50% from the field. This stretch dates back to 2022, and he's averaging 26 points over this run. Another strong performance in a victory would clinch the NBA Finals MVP for Brown, which is an incentive that no other player has in front of them, so he has lots of factors in his favor entering Game 4.

Another part of Kaylor's optimal NBA DFS strategy includes stacking Brown with guard Holiday. The six-time All-Defensive selection has logged 40-plus minutes in back-to-back games as the presences of Doncic and Kyrie Irving require more court time for Holiday. He's making the most of his time on the floor and filling up the stat sheet, which is the norm for him. In this series, Holiday is averaging 15.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists while shooting 59.4% from the field.

Holiday is a high-floor DFS option as he's scored double-digit points in 13 of his last 14 games versus Dallas. He also does enough in other areas to warrant a spot in NBA DFS lineups even with modest scoring as he has at least 10 total rebounds plus assists plus steals in each of his last nine contests against the Mavs. The 34-year-old is also someone who is not fazed with playing in a hostile environment like what he'll see in Dallas on Friday as Holiday averaged more points, rebounds and assists on the road than at home in the 2023-24 regular season. See Kaylor's other NBA DFS picks right here.
