COVID-19 continues to ravage NBA teams this winter and that has left daily Fantasy basketball players scrambling for options when making selections on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings. One team that has managed to steer clear of significant roster issues has been the San Antonio Spurs, who have a friendly matchup on Sunday against the Detroit Pistons. Spurs shooting guard Derrick White could finish as one of the day's best value plays in NBA DFS lineups following a 23-point performance against the Los Angeles Lakers in his last outing.

White could be among the top NBA DFS picks when he faces a Pistons team that allows opposing shooting guards to hit 46 percent of their attempts from the field. White hit 63.5 percent of his shots on Thursday, including 4-of-6 3-point attempts. Before rolling with White or making any other NBA DFS picks for Sunday, be sure to check out the check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine's Mike McClure

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He's also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They're a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

On Saturday, McClure included Nets superstar James Harden as one of his top NBA DFS picks on FanDuel and DraftKings. The result: Harden took over against the Lakers and scored 36 points with 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and three blocks to return 75.5 points on DraftKings and 71 points FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Sunday, December 26 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Sunday, December 26

One of McClure's top Sunday NBA DFS picks is Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram at $9,800 on DraftKings and $8,700 on FanDuel. New Orleans is playing through yet another tough season, but the Pelicans come into Sunday on a four-game winning streak. Ingram has been key to the team's success during that run, and has averaged 28.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists.

On two days rest, as the Pelicans have had ahead of their matchup against Oklahoma City on Sunday, Ingram has put up his best averages this season in points (25 per game) and rebounds (eight per game). Meanwhile, Oklahoma City has been a soft defensive matchup for opposing small forwards, and the Thunder are allowing 22.79 points per game to the position this season.

Another part of McClure's optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Raptors point guard Tremont Waters ($3,000 on DraftKings and $3,500 on FanDuel). Toronto's roster has been decimated with players in the league's health and safety protocols, and he is one of the few players available for the Raptors on Sunday. He'll be making just the fifth start of his career, but is due for a heavy workload by default.

The Cavaliers have played just one game in the last week, which was a 10-point loss to the Boston Celtics. Cleveland hasn't had a recent matchup against an opposing point guard of substance, so gauging what that means for Waters is a bit difficult. However, with so few bodies available for the Raptors, he'll at least have the opportunity to find Fantasy points throughout the game.
