The Phillies added Lartigue to their 60-man roster pool Sunday. Phillies' Henri Lartigue: Dropped from pool
Lartigue was removed from the Phillies' player pool Saturday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports. Lartigue was never expected to fill a significant role for the Phillies this season, as he's yet to play above Double-A and hit .136/.259/.248 at that level for Reading last season. Phillies' Henri Lartigue: Added to player pool
Lartigue was added to the Phillies' player pool Friday, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The Phillies placed four players on the COVID-19 injured list Thursday and added both Lartigue and fellow catcher Logan O'Hoppe to their pool in a corresponding move, giving them five backstops in the 60-man group. Lartigue is unlikely to fill anything more than an organizational depth role this season unless the Phillies experience an injury crisis at the position, as he's never played above Double-A Reading and struggled to a .136/.259/.248 line at that level last season....
