The Phillies reassigned Walker to minor-league camp Tuesday. Walker had been attending big-league spring training as a non-roster invitee after landing a minor-league deal with Philadelphia in December. The lack of a 40-man roster spot may have worked against Walker in his bid for a spot in the Opening Day bullpen, as he otherwise made a strong case for breaking camp with the Phillies by striking out six and allowing just seven baserunners over 7.1 scoreless frames in Grapefruit League play. Walker will likely report to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.... See More ... See Less

Phillies' Jeremy Walker: Inks minor-league pact with Philly
Walker has joined the Phillies on a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training. Walker will turn 28 years old this coming summer and has logged only six career appearances at the MLB level -- all in 2019 with Atlanta. The 27-year-old right-hander can be considered organizational depth for Philadelphia heading into the 2023 campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Rays' Jeremy Walker: Sent to Rays
Walker was traded to the Rays from the Giants on Monday in exchange for utility man Ford Proctor, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Walker has pitched at the Triple-A level all season and owns a 6.88 ERA and 1.65 WHIP over 35.1 innings. The Rays will see if they can make a tweak or two to get him back on track.... See More ... Giants' Jeremy Walker: Makes Low-A rehab appearance
Walker (shoulder) struck out four and gave up two runs on four hits and no walks over two innings during a rehab appearance with Low-A San Jose in Friday's 3-0 loss to Fresno. Walker's 33-pitch appearance marked his first action in affiliated ball since 2019, when he covered 9.1 innings over six outings at the big-league level with Atlanta. The right-hander has missed the last two seasons while recovering from a shoulder injury and is expected to settle at Triple-A Sacramento once he completes his rehab assignment.... See More ... Giants' Jeremy Walker: Joins San Francisco
Walker (shoulder) signed a contract with the Giants on Wednesday, Mark W. Sanchez of KNBR News reports. The 25-year-old was released by the Braves earlier in February, and he's found new landing spot rather quickly. Walker made his big-league debut in 2019 and allowed two earned runs with a 6:4 K:BB over 9.1 innings, but he missed all of 2020 due to shoulder concerns.... See More ... See Less -
Jeremy Walker: Released by Atlanta
Walker (shoulder) was released by Atlanta on Friday. The move clears space on the 40-man roster for Travis Demeritte, who was claimed off waivers from the Tigers in a corresponding move. Walker threw 9.1 innings in his 2019 big-league debut, allowing just two runs but posting an unimpressive 6:4 K:BB. He missed all of last season due to shoulder issues, though it's unclear whether or not those are still present or whether they factored into Atlanta's decision to let him go.... See More ... Braves' Jeremy Walker: Moves to 45-day IL
Walker was placed on the 45-day injured list Friday with a right shoulder impingement. The 25-year-old suffered the injury early in spring camp and was never provided an official timetable for his return, but he clearly needs more time to recover. Walker made his big-league debut in 2019 and allowed two runs over 9.1 innings, but it's unclear if he'll be able to play during the shortened 2020 season.... See More ... See Less -
Braves' Jeremy Walker: Back to Triple-A
Walker was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday. He made one appearance in his most recent big-league stint, giving up one run in 3.1 innings Thursday in Miami. Patrick Weigel will take his place in the bullpen.... See More ... See Less -
Braves' Jeremy Walker: Contract selected by Braves
Walker's contract was selected by the Braves on Wednesday. Walker owns a strong 2.84 ERA in 69.2 innings in the high minors this season, walking just 2.8 percent of opposing batters. Wes Parsons was optioned to clear a spot in the bullpen.... See More ... See Less
