Player Outlook
The Orioles' pipeline of excellent position player prospects seemingly has no end, and while he appears buried on the organizational depth chart, Dylan Beavers is a good enough prospect to still carry top-100 dynasty value. A plus runner who makes excellent swing decisions and can play all three outfield spots, Beavers is working on maximizing his above-average raw power in games. He slashed .336/.432/.536 with eight home runs, 14 steals and an 18.9 K% in his final 71 games, split evenly across High-A and Double-A, although his .157 ISO at Double-A was an underwhelming mark for an age-appropriate hitter at that level. Beavers could soon look like a top-50 prospect on paper whose actual dynasty value will be debatable based on how much he gets downgraded due to the crowded depth chart. However, as a lefty hitter, he should be productive in Oriole Park at Camden Yards, if he is able to stick in this organization.

  • Orioles' Dylan Beavers: Productive for Bowie

Beavers is slashing .294/.403/.451 with three home runs and seven steals in 29 games for Double-A Bowie. Beavers has a 147 wRC+ after logging a 150 wRC+ in 34 games for the Baysox to close the 2023 season. A patient hitter with good pull-side power and above-average speed, Beavers now has a career .309/.411/.466 slash line at the Double-A level, but he has just five home runs in 63 games. Bowie isn't a great place to put up big offensive numbers, but Beavers' lefty stick should eventually fit nicely in Baltimore, and his 16 doubles in 63 Double-A games hint at some untapped power potential.

  • Orioles' Dylan Beavers: Climbs to Double-A

The Orioles promoted Beavers from High-A Aberdeen to Double-A Bowie on Wednesday. Beavers, the 33rd overall pick in the 2022 First-Year Player Draft, earned the move to the Eastern League after posting an .832 OPS while walking in 13.9 percent of his plate appearances and stealing 22 bases in 28 attempts. The 21-year-old hit only nine home runs in his 85 games at Aberdeen, but at 6-foot-4, he possesses the sort of frame to add power as he matures.
