  Perkins went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 6-4 loss to Baltimore. Perkins belted a go-ahead homer in the seventh inning off Yennier Cano. However, the Orioles immediately took back the lead in the bottom of the seventh. Still, Perkins racked up his second three-hit game of 2024 and has generated a hit in six of seven appearances. In 26 at-bats, Perkins owns a team-leading .385 batting average with a 1.082 OPS.

  Perkins went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, two runs scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over Cincinnati. He also walked and was hit by a pitch in the contest. Perkins stole second after being hit by a pitch to open the fourth inning and then eventually came around to score Milwaukee's sixth run on a sacrifice fly from Jackson Chourio. The outfielder wasn't done yet, however, adding a solo shot off Hunter Greene in the sixth, giving him his first long ball of the season. Perkins has now hit safely in all four games he's played, racking up four RBI, five runs and two stolen bases over that stretch.

  Perkins went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 9-5 win over Cincinnati. Perkins opened the scoring in the third inning with a two-run single before swiping his first bag of the year and scoring on a Christian Yelich hit. The 27-year-old switch-hitter would add a third RBI with another base hit in the sixth. It was just the third start of the season for Perkins -- he's now 5-for-13 on the year with three RBI and three runs scored after slashing .217/.325/.350 with four homers and five stolen bases through 67 games as a rookie last season. Perkins will likely remain the fourth outfielder in Milwaukee until Garrett Mitchell (hand) is ready to return from the IL.

The Brewers haven't clarified where exactly Perkins stands in his recovery from the left oblique strain that has sidelined him since Aug. 11, but the fact that he's working out in Arizona and isn't being shut down from baseball activities can be taken as a positive sign. Perkins will eventually need to complete a minor-league rehab assignment before returning from the 10-day injured list, likely at some point in September. Once activated, Perkins is expected to be limited to a depth role in the Milwaukee outfield.

Getting the start in left field and batting eighth against southpaw Cristopher Sanchez, Perkins produced his first multi-hit performance since July 1 while stealing his fourth bag of the season. The 26-year-old is batting just .167 (5-for-30) on the month, but seven walks have given him a respectable .324 OBP. He's been on the bench against the last four right-handed starters the Brewers have faced, with Raimel Tapia getting a look in Perkins' place, and Tyrone Taylor is also healthy again. The three will continue to jockey for playing time in the third outfield spot alongside Christian Yelich and Joey Wiemer.
