Tucker went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and a stolen base against Philadelphia in a loss Tuesday. Tucker got his second straight start at DH and was one of only two Angels with multiple hits in the defeat. The veteran swiped a bag in the fifth inning, becoming the second player in team history to notch a stolen base in both of his first two games with the club. Tucker swiped as many as 47 bases in the minors (in 2017), but he hasn't recorded more than 11 thefts in a professional campaign since 2018.... See More ... See Less

Angels' Cole Tucker: Swipes bag in Angels debut
Tucker went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in a 6-5 victory versus Philadelphia on Monday. Tucker was called up to the big club Monday afternoon and batted seventh while working as the Angels' DH. The 27-year-old made a tangible impact in his team debut, walking and stealing a base in his first plate appearance, then tying the game with a run-scoring single in the sixth inning. It's unclear how often Tucker will be in the lineup since he doesn't have an obvious path to everyday playing time.... See More ... See Less -
Angels' Cole Tucker: Moves up to big club
The Angels selected Tucker's contract Monday. After being let go by the Mariners in spring training, Tucker caught on with the Angels on a minor-league contract April 10. The 27-year-old played well with Triple-A Salt Lake, slashing .333/.462/.500 with two doubles, one home run and five RBI while drawing eight walks over 40 plate appearances in the minors. To make room for Tucker, the Angels designated Aaron Hicks for assignment. Tucker will see major-league action immediately, as he's starting at DH and batting seventh against Phillies southpaw Cristopher Sanchez for Monday's contest, per Erica Weston of Bally Sports West.... Angels' Cole Tucker: Gets MiLB deal from Angels
Tucker signed a minor-league contract with the Angels on April 10. Tucker was with the Mariners during spring training but exercised an opt-out clause in his minor-league contract after failing to make the Opening Day roster. He's been assigned to the Angels' Arizona Complex League affiliate for now as he knocks some rust off but eventually will provide some utility depth at Triple-A Salt Lake.... See More ... See Less -
Cole Tucker: Cut by Seattle
Tucker was released by the Mariners on Monday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports. Tucker had been reassigned to minor-league camp last week and now might have exercised an opt-out clause in his contract. The 27-year-old utility player will now be on the lookout for a new organization.... See More ... See Less -
Mariners' Cole Tucker: Cut by Seattle
The Mariners reassigned Tucker to minor-league camp Wednesday. Tucker reached base six times in 14 plate appearances in Cactus League play, but his underwhelming track record at the big-league level likely carried more weight in the Mariners' decision to cut him. The 27-year-old utility player is likely to begin the 2024 campaign with Triple-A Tacoma.... See More ... See Less -
Mariners' Cole Tucker: Joins Seattle on MiLB deal
Tucker signed a minor-league contract with the Mariners on Sunday and has been invited to major-league spring training, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports. Tucker appeared in five games for the Rockies last season and spent most of the campaign with their Triple-A affiliate. He had a .280/.391/.407 slash line with five homers and seven steals in 70 games and will serve as organizational outfield depth for Seattle.... See More ... See Less -
Cole Tucker: Becomes free agent
Tucker elected to become a free agent Tuesday. Tucker was pushed off the 40-man roster in Colorado two different times this season and will now get an early start to free agency. Rockies' Cole Tucker: Outrighted to Triple-A
Tucker cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday. The Rockies have now designated Tucker for assignment and outrighted him to the minors twice this season. The 27-year-old infielder has logged just 10 plate appearances at the big-league level in 2023.... See More ... See Less -
Rockies' Cole Tucker: Removed from 40-man roster
Tucker was designated for assignment Monday, Patrick Lyons of TheDNVR.com reports. Tucker was removed from Colorado's 40-man roster in mid-August, and after being called up a little less than a week ago, he was dropped once more. It remains to be seen if he will head to Triple-A Albuquerque again or look for work with another organization.... See More ... See Less -
Rockies' Cole Tucker: Selected from Triple-A
Colorado selected Tucker's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday. Rockies' Cole Tucker: Designated for assignment
Tucker was designated for assignment by the Rockies on Monday, Kelsey Wingert-Linch of AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain reports. Tucker had three singles in eight plate appearances during his week-long stay with the Rockies.... See More ... See Less -
Rockies' Cole Tucker: Joins big club
Tucker's contract was selected from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports. Tucker is not in lineup Monday versus the Brewers, but the 27-year-old switch hitter will provide some defensive versatility off the bench. He started 24 games in center field, 17 games at second base, 13 games in right field and another handful of games at first base and in left field. A former prospect of note last decade when he was in the Pirates' organization, Tucker hit .311/.419/.459 with five home runs and seven steals in 58 games in the Pacific Coast League.... See More ... Rockies' Cole Tucker: Misses out on season-opening roster

Rockies' Cole Tucker: Catches on with Colorado
Tucker agreed Wednesday with the Rockies on a minor-league contract that includes an invitation to big-league spring training, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports. Tucker will move on to the third organization of his career after previous stops with Pittsburgh and Arizona. He elected free agency this offseason after the Diamondbacks previously cast him off their 40-man roster in July. The 26-year-old utility man finished this past season at Triple-A Reno, where he slashed .237/.297/.325 with two home runs and four stolen bases over 128 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Diamondbacks' Cole Tucker: Dumped from 40-man roster
Tucker was outrighted off the Diamondbacks' 40-man roster Thursday and sent to Triple-A Reno. The 26-year-old was claimed off waivers by Arizona in early June and has spent the past month at Triple-A. Tucker hit .235/.297/.296 with a home run, nine RBI and four stolen bases in 22 games for Reno, so the Diamondbacks opted to remove him from the 40-man roster.... See More ... See Less -

Tucker was claimed off waivers by the Diamondbacks on Sunday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Tucker will presumably report to Triple-A Reno.... See More ... See Less -
Pirates' Cole Tucker: Gives up switch-hitting, on bench
Tucker isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Dodgers. Tucker has gone 3-for-14 with a double, a run, an RBI and four strikeouts over the last four games, and he'll be on the bench for the second time in the last three matchups. According to Jerry DiPaola of TribLive.com, Tucker revealed Tuesday that he will abandon switch-hitting and bat exclusively from the left side moving forward, which he believes will give him the best chance at finding consistent success at the plate. For the moment, he appears to have the edge on a strong-side platoon role at second base, though he'll cede the keystone to fellow lefty hitter Josh VanMeter on Wednesday as the Pirates oppose Dodgers right-hander Ryan Pepiot....
