Ramos signed a minor-league deal with the Reds on Monday and received an invite to spring training, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
After slashing .250/.304/.417 with the KT Wiz in Korea last season, Ramos will return to the States and attempt to make the Reds' big-league roster. Ramos signed with the KT Wiz of the KBO on Tuesday, Ji Heon Bae of Naver reports.
Ramos made his MLB debut at age 29 this season but didn't make much of an impression, hitting .200/.255/.300 in 18 games. The Wiz were presumably drawn to his excellent .371/.439/.582 slash line in 75 games for Triple-A Reno. Given Ramos' age, he isn't particularly likely to establish himself overseas and return as an MLB regular.
