    Anigbogu (knee) will miss the remainder of the 2021-22 season, per the G League transactions page.

    Per G League writer Kevin Danna, Anigbogu appeared to have suffered a knee injury against Sant Cruz on Feb. 24, and it appears to be a serious one. He will miss the remainder of the campaign as a result and will now look toward returning in 2022-23.

    Anigbogu did what he's done all season long, which is to score at a low rate but provide excellent defense and rim protection, but unfortunately, this outing was cut short when he recorded his sixth foul. He hasn't done much across the season, so he shouldn't be a factor most nights for the Squadron.

    It's unclear if Anigbogu was sidelined Saturday just as a precaution coming off the injury or if it was a result of a setback suffered in Friday's contest. The second-year center is averaging just shy of a double-double across 17 appearances this season for Fort Wayne with 11.2 points (on 46.4 percent shooting from the field) and 9.9 boards per game.

    The two-way player saw a whopping 40 minutes Monday, but that wasn't even good enough to lead the team as Stephan Hicks finished with 42. The 20-year-old center has played sparingly with the Pacers, but through eight games with the Mad Ants is averaging 13.1 points, 10.9 rebounds and 1.9 blocked shots.
