Let's take a morning spin around the SEC:

  • Georgia is getting two defensive starters back from suspension, linebacker Chase Vasser and corner Sanders Commings. Their teammates are excited. "They can just jump on," LB Christian Robinson told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "They don't have to keep worrying with some of the regret of not being here."

  • Arkansas players say they're still 100 percent behind coach John L. Smith after the Razorbacks blew a 21-point lead and lost to Louisiana-Monroe. "We still believe in John L. 100 percent," tight end Chris Gragg told ArkansasNews.com. "Everybody on the team does. Nothing has changed." Arkansas might not have quarterback Tyler Wilson (head injury) when the Razorbacks host top-ranked Alabama on Saturday.

  • Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen is warning his players not to get caught up in fans' adulation after the Bulldogs hammered Auburn to go 2-0. "Some of our older guys understand that those pats on the back can turn into kicks in the rear end real quick," Mullen told the Clarion Ledger.

  • The main problem with Auburn's secondary has been missed tackles, according to Al.com writer Joel Erickson. Receivers are catching short passes against soft coverage and turning those plays into long gains. Coach Gene Chizik, who shuffled the lineup between Games 1 and 2, says no one has job security in the secondary. "If you're not productive, we're going to give other guys opportunities."
