  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Earns two assists in win

Rossi provided a pair of assists, including one on the power play, in Monday's 3-1 win over the Kings. Rossi had been limited to three goals with a minus-7 rating over his previous 12 contests. The 22-year-old set up goals by Matt Boldy and Kirill Kaprizov in Monday's victory. The pair of helpers got Rossi to the 40-point mark, and he's added 167 shots on net and a minus-3 rating over 81 appearances in his rookie campaign.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Lights lamp twice in OT loss

Rossi scored two goals in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Blues. Both goals came in the second period as the Wild grabbed a 3-2 lead, only to see it slip away late. This performance snapped Rossi out of a slump that had seen the 22-year-old manage only one goal and two points over the prior 14 games, and his second tally Saturday gave him 20 on the season. If the Wild are going to move into a playoff spot over the final weeks of the regular season, they'll probably need Rossi to get hot.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Goal, two assists in OT win

Rossi tallied a goal and two assists in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canadiens. Rossi set up Matt Boldy's opening goal on a first-period power play before extending Minnesota's lead to 2-0 later in the frame, beating Sam Montembeault with a wrister. Rossi would add another assist in the third period, giving him his first career three-point game. The 22-year-old Rossi has started to play up to his offensive potential in his second NHL season -- he now has 11 goals and 21 points through 31 games while working on Minnesota's second line and top power-play unit.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Nets insurance tally

Rossi scored a goal on three shots in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Kraken. Rossi tallied at 12:34 of the third period to double the Wild's lead to 2-0. The 22-year-old has three goals and two assists over his last six games. He was moved down to the second line, swapping places with Joel Eriksson Ek in a lineup shuffle Sunday. Rossi may benefit from the move if it gets some of the attention off of him and onto the top line. He's produced nine goals, seven assists, 51 shots on net, 12 PIM and a plus-5 rating through 26 appearances this season.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Lights lamp twice in Sunday's win

Rossi scored two goals, one the game-winner on the power play, in Sunday's 4-1 victory over Chicago. In a matchup of top rookies, Rossi got the better of Connor Bedard as he potted Minnesota's first two goals of the game in the first period. Rossi's eight tallies on the season is second among rookies to Bedard's 11, and new head coach John Hynes has the 22-year-old skating on the Wild's top line between Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello. Rossi's 14 points in 22 contests is already solid, but he could take his production to another level if he hangs onto that assignment.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Lends helper Friday

Rossi picked up an assist and two PIM in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Avalanche. Rossi set up Kirill Kaprizov's second-period tally. The 22-year-old Rossi has a goal and three helpers during a four-game point streak. That hot stretch coincides with his move to the top line between Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello. Rossi's minutes continue to be limited compared to his linemates, but he's holding his own in the best place to be in the Wild's lineup. The Austrian center has 11 points, 35 shots on net, four PIM and a plus-2 rating through 18 contests.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Provides only offense in loss

Rossi scored his sixth goal of the season in Saturday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Senators. The 22-year-old opened the scoring midway through the second period by tipping home a Brock Faber point shot, but it was all the offense Minnesota could muster -- even in the shootout, the Wild went 0-for-3. Rossi had only one assist in 21 career NHL games coming into the season, but the ninth overall pick in the 2020 Draft appears ready to break out, picking up nine points in the first 16 games of 2023-24.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Back in AHL

Rossi was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Friday. Rossi was drafted ninth overall in 2020 and struggled with the after-effects of COVID in 2020-21. He spent most of 2022-23 with Iowa, scoring 16 times and adding 34 assists in 51 games. He struggled offensively at the NHL level this season, picking up only one helper in 19 games.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Joins big club

Rossi was recalled from AHL Iowa on Sunday. Rossi struggled at the NHL level to begin the 2022-23 season, logging just one assist in 16 appearances. He's smoked his competition in the AHL, racking up 16 goals and 50 points in 51 games. With Joel Eriksson Ek (lower body) considered week-to-week, Rossi should see some playing time as the Wild gear up for the postseason.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Excelling at AHL lowa

Rossi has 26 points in 25 AHL games since his demotion, Thomas Williams of Hockeywilderness.com reports. Rossi, who was selected ninth overall in 2020, had only one assist in 16 games with the Wild before he was sent to the AHL to regain his confidence. Well, it sure looks like he is playing with plenty of confidence, as he has three goals and 10 points during his current seven-game points streak. Do not be surprised if Rossi is recalled from the minors in the near future.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Sitting Saturday

Rossi is a healthy scratch Saturday against Carolina, per Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Rossi has struggled so far this season with just one assist through 16 games. Minnesota has been patient with its top prospect as he adjusts to the NHL, but he'll get a breather against a good Carolina team. Nicolas Petan will slot into the lineup in Rossi's absence.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Gets first career point

Rossi registered an assist in a 4-1 win against Montreal on Tuesday. It was Rossi's first career point. In addition to the assist, he has five shots, three blocks and two hits in nine games while averaging 11:39 of ice time. He was the No. 9 pick in the 2020 draft and has plenty of offensive potential, but for now his role with the team is probably too small for him to contribute regularly.

Rossi was demoted to AHL Iowa on Sunday. Rossi has averaged 15:35 of ice time and been held pointless through two NHL appearances this season. • Wild's Marco Rossi: Will play for Austria

Rossi (upper body) will suit up for Austria at 2022 Winter Olympic Qualifying in August, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Rossi was suffering from lingering complications due to COVID-19 but appears to be nearing a return to competitive action. Barring any setbacks, Rossi's time with Austria should clear the way for him to rejoin the Wild ahead of the 2021-22 campaign. If he does play in the NHL, the 19-year-old winger could provide some fantasy value.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Approved to resume skating

Rossi (upper body) has been cleared to begin training and skating, Scott Wheeler of The Athletic reports. Rossi stayed in Austria after testing positive for COVID-19 in January. The No. 9 overall pick from the 2020 NHL Entry Draft should presumably be ready to go for Minnesota's training camp in September.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Absence explained

Rossi (upper body) is in Austria while he recovers from complications related to COVID-19, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Rossi's injury had not been described in such detail prior to Saturday's report. The new information explains why Rossi wasn't available for training camp after his time with Team Austria at the 2021 World Junior Championships. The ninth overall selection from 2020 is expected to spend six weeks away from Minnesota before returning. At this point, it would be surprising to see him make an impact at the NHL level this year.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Returns to Austria

Rossi (upper body) has returned to his native Austria, but he's expected to rejoin the Wild in six weeks, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Rossi is considered out indefinitely with an upper-body injury, and the Wild have evidently allowed him to return home to continue his rehab. The ninth overall pick from the 2020 NHL Entry Draft will likely report to AHL Iowa whenever he's deemed fit to play.

  • Wild's Marco Rossi: Out indefinitely

Rossi is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury. Rossi was expected to complete his quarantine and join the Wild at training camp Sunday, but an upper-body injury surfaced that will extend the 19-year-old's absence. The ninth overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, Rossi racked up 120 points over 56 games with OHL Ottawa last season. Once he's healthy, Rossi likely will start with AHL Iowa.
