Panthers' Brandon Smith: IR-bound with ankle injury
Carolina placed Smith (ankle) on its injured reserve list Saturday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Smith will now have to miss the remainder of the regular season recovering from an ankle injury he sustained during Carolina's win at Seattle in Week 14.
