Brown was waived by Washington on Monday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Brown went undrafted in 2020 before subsequently signing with Washington. He spent most of the year on the practice squad but did suit up for one game. The Colorado product will now be able to look for a new landing spot.

Football Team's Tony Brown: Inks future contract
Brown signed a reserve/future contract with Washington on Monday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
An undrafted rookie out of Colorado, Brown suited up in one game for Washington this year, logging four targetless snaps on offense. Brown was productive in his senior year at college with a 56-707-5 line, but his first three years at the school were relatively quiet. The 23-year-old will battle for a depth role in 2021.

Brown had a stint on the practice squad earlier this year before being promoted to the active roster, but he didn't record any offensive statistics during his only appearance (Week 7 versus Dallas). The undrafted rookie out of Colorado will work to continue progressing in his development.

The Football Team opted to sign Jeff Badet to the active roster, and Brown was let go to clear up a roster spot. An undrafted rookie out of Colorado, Brown played just four offensive snaps in the only game he suited up this year. If Brown clears waivers, he'll likely land on the team's practice squad.

Brown has resided on the practice squad for the entire 2020 season after he failed to make the opening day roster for Washington this offseason. Expect Brown to provide depth for the Football Team on Sunday, as Isaiah Wright (shoulder) was ruled out for the contest against the Cowboys.
