    Anderson signed a contract with the Steelers on Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports. Anderson worked out for the team Monday and showed enough to earn a spot on their 53-man roster. He'll provide depth at offensive tackle after Pittsburgh lost Troy Fautanu (knee) for the season.

  • Calvin Anderson: Finds opportunity

    Anderson (undisclosed) is slated to sign with the Steelers on Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Anderson was cut from IR with an injury settlement by the Patriots at the end of August. His ability to work out for the Steelers would likely suggest the veteran offensive tackle is healthy, although until he passes a physical and officially signs, it can't be certain. Pittsburgh's interest in the veteran likely stems from the recent loss of Troy Fautanu (knee) for the season.

    The Patriots cut Anderson (undisclosed) from IR with an injury settlement Friday. Anderson restructured his contract with New England in April, but he's now parted ways with the team. The offensive lineman originally signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and rejoined the organization in 2023 after spending three campaigns with Denver. Anderson has started in 14 of the 46 regular-season contests he's played in during his NFL career.
