Vikings' Aaron Jones: Remains limited in practice
Jones (shoulder/toe) was limited at practice Wednesday.
Jones is dealing with an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder and also a toe injury for a second week in a row, but he was able to play through them this past Sunday against the Ravens and turn 12 touches into 69 yards from scrimmage and one TD. Meanwhile, Jordan Mason played second fiddle to Jones en route to five touches for 31 total yards. Friday's injury report will reveal whether or not Jones again enters the weekend with a designation ahead of Sunday's game versus the Bears.

Vikings' Aaron Jones: Scores first TD of 2025
Jones rushed the ball nine times for 47 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-19 loss to the Ravens. He added three receptions on six targets for 22 yards.
Jones' line doesn't stand out on the surface, but he served as Minnesota's clear lead back -- a departure from the split the Vikings have used to this point in the season. He out-touched Jordan Mason 12-5 for the game, which included the majority of targets and the team's lone running back touch at the goal line. Jones took advantage of the latter opportunity by punching in a four-yard touchdown for his first trip to the end zone this season. The Vikings were forced to utilize a pass-heavy offense while chasing the score, but Jones could be in line for heavier workloads moving forward.

Vikings' Aaron Jones: Active Sunday
Jones (shoulder/toe) is active for Sunday's game against the Ravens.
Jones emerged from last Sunday's win in Detroit with an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, which, along with a toe injury, led to a DNP/LP/LP practice regimen. While the Vikings listed him as questionable for Week 10 action, he told Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com on Friday that "I still have two days, so I feel like I'll be in a good spot" by Sunday. With his active status now confirmed, Jones will continue to split the backfield with Jordan Mason, which has amounted to 18 touches for 138 yards from scrimmage and no touchdowns for Jones over the past two contests (as opposed to Mason's 16 touches for 43 total yards and no TDs during that same span).

Jones ended Week 10 prep with back-to-back limited practices to draw the questionable tag, but he relayed to reporters after Friday's session that he'll "be in a good spot" by Sunday, per Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com. Jones' official status may not be known until the Vikings announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, but the veteran running back is trending toward being available for the Vikings. Jordan Mason and Zavier Scott would be in line for more backfield snaps if Jones is ruled out or operates on a snap count.

Jones (shoulder/toe) said Friday that he thinks he'll "be in a good spot" by Sunday to play against Baltimore, after the Vikings listed him as questionable on their final injury report, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.
Following last week's early exit, Jones managed limited practices Thursday and Friday. According to Emily Leiker of The Minnesota Star Tribune, Jones was seen stretching prior to Thursday's session, and his ensuing listing on the Vikings' second Week 10 injury report indicates that he's progressing through the AC joint sprain in his right shoulder and also a toe issue. Jones will have one more chance to get back to full activity this week, or he's more likely to enter the weekend with a designation for Sunday's game against the Ravens. If he's able to suit up, he likely will continue his relative timeshare out of Minnesota's backfield with Jordan Mason.

Coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday that Jones' right shoulder is "sore" following Sunday's 27-24 win over Detroit, but the Vikings received "positive news early on" and will see if the running back can increase his activity level as the week goes on, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.
Jones thus seems to have a chance to play this coming Sunday against the Ravens after suffering what he described as an AC joint sprain Week 9, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
