  • Colts' Jahleel Addae: Added to COVID list

Addae (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday. Addae played a significant role on the Colts' defense Saturday against the Cardinals with Khari Willis on the COVID list. Addae played 94 percent of the snaps and recorded six tackles (four solo). Now he joins Willis in COVID protocols. Addae will look to gain clearance in time for the Colts' Week 17 game with the Raiders.

  • Chargers' Jahleel Addae: Signs with active roster

The Chargers promoted Addae to the active roster Tuesday. Addae will provide depth to the Chargers' secondary that has lost S Derwin James (knee) for the year and CB Chris Harris (foot) for four to six weeks. The veteran safety played with the Chargers in Week 3 and stuck to special teams, but if more injuries pop up, he could carve out a role on defense.

  • Texans' Jahleel Addae: Nabs INT in win

Addae recorded two solo tackles, one defended pass and one interception during Sunday's 26-3 win over the Jaguars. Addae benefited from quarterback Gardner Minshew accumulating four turnovers. As long as Addae remains relegated to a backup role at free safety, he won't warrant fantasy consideration in IDP formats.

Addae had a team-high 11 tackles in Sunday's 53-32 win over the Falcons in Week 5. Addae, who is a backup at free safety, had 10 tackles in 35 snaps on defense and one more on special teams. It was a big day in the tackling department for the Texans secondary. Four of the team's top five tacklers were cornerbacks or safeties.

  • Chargers' Jahleel Addae: Hitting open market

Addae was released by the Chargers on Saturday, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports. It looks like yet another safety is expected to hit the open market, with Addae ranking among the most accomplished when it comes to his tackling acumen. Slated to make just over $12 million over the course of the next two seasons, the emergence of All-Pro safety Derwin James and the continual development of other secondary players such as Adrian Phillips, Jaylen Watkins and Rayshawn Jenkins made Addae expendable. The 29-year-old safety is likely better suited for a pseudo-linebacker role as opposed to a starting safety at this point in his career, but it's hard to suggest the six-year veteran won't find a team by the start of the 2019 preseason given his notable resume that includes 367 career tackles.

  • Chargers' Jahleel Addae: Leads team in tackles

Addae tallied eight tackles (six solo) in the 26-21 victory over the Bengals on Sunday. Addae has seen his production slip this season with the emergence of Denzel James and Adrian Phillips, despite the fact the veteran safety has played in 98 percent of the team's defensive snaps. Generally considered one of the hardest hitting safeties in the NFL, Addae's worth might be more important to the Chargers than fantasy owners.

  • Chargers' Jahleel Addae: Another solid performance in win

Addae secured seven tackles (five solo), a half of a sack and a forced fumble in the 14-7 win over the Jets on Sunday. Addae has been a revelation for the Chargers in his fifth season, as the box safety is set to play in all 16 games for only the second time in his career. Not surprisingly, the 27-year-old is putting up career numbers and is only eight tackles shy of breaking the century mark this season.

Addae recorded eight tackles (six solo) -- including two for a loss -- in the 20-17 overtime loss to the Jaguars on Sunday. Addae continues to rack up the tackle numbers. While the fifth-year safety has never produced turnovers at an elite rate, he's now set a career high in tackles with 65 despite playing in just nine games. He should be poised to build upon that impressive number so long as he can stay healthy.
