  • Antonio Morrison: Cited for flight interference

Morrison was cited for flight interference March 1, Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Morrison was not arrested as a result of the incident, which occurred seven days before the Packers' decision to release him. Green Bay saved $2 million toward the cap in 2019 by parting ways with Morrison, so the decision may have come purely from a cost-cutting standpoint, but it's possible that the 24-year-old's citation could dampen his appeal on the open market. Morrison played all 16 games -- including eight starts -- last season, notching 48 tackles and one sack across that span.

  • Antonio Morrison: Cut loose by Packers

The Packers released Morrison on Friday.

After Jake Ryan tore his ACL at the outset of training camp last summer, the Packers tinkered with other options at inside linebacker before landing Morrison via trade in late August. Morrison proceeded to play all 16 games with eight starts, parlaying 28 percent of the defensive snaps and 56.5 percent of those on special teams into 48 tackles and one sack. The 24-year-old will seek out employment elsewhere, though a similar role to that in Green Bay may be the best he can expect.

  • Packers' Antonio Morrison: Tackle total cut in half

Morrison played in 16 games with the Packers in 2018 and tallied 47 tackles (27 solo) and a sack.

Morrison topped the 100-tackle mark with the Colts in 2017, but he did not even get halfway there in 2018 following a preseason trade to the Packers that left him playing a far lesser role. The Packers' new coaching staff will likely decide whether Morrison returns to Green Bay in 2019.

  • Packers' Antonio Morrison: Little production in win

Morrison recorded just one tackle in the Packers win over Atlanta on Sunday.

Morrison has fallen off from his 109 tackles in 2017. He's seen limited snaps this season and has just 39 tackles through 13 games. He'll look to bounce back and finish the season strong as the Packers take on the Bears in Week 15.

  • Packers' Antonio Morrison: Sack on Sunday

Morrison recorded eight tackles (five solo) and a sack across 31 defensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the Patriots.

The Patriots' offensive line did a great job of protecting Tom Brady all night, but Morrison was able to burst through for a third-down sack late in the third quarter. The linebacker was second on the team in tackles despite only playing in 44 percent of the defensive snaps. If he can continue to produce at this level, there's a good chance Morrison could continue to see increased reps.

  • Packers' Antonio Morrison: Making strong case for roster spot

Morrison, who has been impressive throughout training camp, has a chance to make the 53-man roster, Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official site reports.

According to the report, Morrison's strengths align nicely with newly minted defensive coordinator Mike Pettine's system. Morrison seemingly has positioned himself to make a strong case for a roster spot with 53-man cuts looming. Even if he makes the team, however, it's likely Morrison will be of most service on special teams.

  • Packers' Antonio Morrison: Sent to Packers

The Colts traded Morrison to the Packers in exchange for Lenzy Pipkins, Michael Cohen of The Athletic Wisconsin reports.

The Packers appeared to get the better end of the deal here, as Pipkins projects to be a special teams player while Morrison led the Colts with 109 tackles in 2017. Green Bay needed depth at linebacker after Jake Ryan tore his ACL and Oren Burks suffered a shoulder injury before the third preseason game. If Burks' injury is serious, Morrison could be the Week 1 starter.

Morrison recorded 13 tackles (eight solo) in Sunday's 27-0 blowout loss to the Jaguars.

  • Colts' Antonio Morrison: Full participant Wednesday

Morrison (elbow) was a full participant at the Colts' practice Wednesday.

Morrison will look to return to action Sunday against the Browns after sitting out the Colts' Week 2 loss to the Cardinals. If active, the 22-year-old would likely reclaim a starting role at inside linebacker and take on a significant snap count.

  • Colts' Antonio Morrison: Ruled out Sunday

Morrison (elbow) will not play in Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Stephen Holder of The Indianapolis Star reports.

When exactly Morrison suffered the elbow injury is currently unknown, but he did play 57 defensive snaps in the season opener and recorded four tackles in a start at inside linebacker. Anthony Walker Jr. is dealing with a hamstring injury himself, so if he is ruled out Sunday, the Colts could be dealing with serious depth issues at linebacker.

  • Colts' Antonio Morrison: Four tackles in Sunday's loss

Morrison started at inside linebacker and had four total tackles in Sunday's loss to the Rams.

Morrison played 57 snaps so he'll be a mainstay of the defense. He averaged eight tackles per game the last four games of last season after moving into a starting role, so Sunday's game was a disappointment. However, he should get plenty of opportunity for tackles on a defense that will struggle to get off the field.
