Kamar Aiken: Let go by Philly
Aiken was released by the Eagles on Friday.
Aiken saw a fair amount of snaps in Week 1 and recorded five receptions for 39 yards, but had only one catch in the five games since. The addition of veteran Jordan Matthews to the roster in Week 3 and the return of Alshon Jeffery from shoulder surgery a week after that effectively resulted in Aiken being phased out of the Eagles' offensive game plans. With Aiken now out of the picture, Shelton Gibson and DeAndre Carter are solidified as the lone depth options behind the starting triumvirate of Jeffery, Nelson Agholor and Matthews.

Eagles' Kamar Aiken: Notches one catch in loss
Aiken made one 14-yard catch in Sunday's 26-23 loss to Tennessee.
On the bright side, at least Aiken made it into the box score this week after being shut out in Week 3. However, with the return of Alshon Jeffery, the 29-year-old was on the field for just nine snaps and was flagged for a third-quarter holding penalty on one of them. With Jordan Matthews having vaulted up the depth chart in the short time since his signing, an injury will likely have to befall the Eagles' receiving corps before the Central Florida product sees a meaningful amount of playing time again.

Eagles' Kamar Aiken: Absent from box score in loss
Aiken played 45 offensive snaps (55 percent) in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Colts but was not targeted in the passing game.
Seven other Eagles saw multiple targets on the day, leaving Aiken out entirely despite his ranking fourth among skill players in snaps. While it is certainly discouraging he didn't see any looks in Carson Wentz's return, the fact that the 29-year-old was on the field so much would indicate he'll probably get a few more chances if Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) is still out Week 4 at Tennessee.

Eagles' Kamar Aiken: Sees six targets in loss
Aiken caught five of his six targets for 39 yards in Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Buccaneers.
Aiken just re-signed with the Eagles this week with Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) set to miss another game and caught the first pass of the game from Nick Foles for a three-yard gain. The 29-year-old would see more action after Mike Wallace left the first quarter with an ankle injury. If Jeffery and Wallace are forced to miss more time, Aiken might be in line for more work against the Colts in Week 3.

Aiken signed a contract with the Eagles on Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN.com reports.
Aiken spent the preseason with the Eagles but was released during roster cut-downs. Don't expect the veteran to see much action on offense as he will likely serve more of a depth role.

Aiken agreed to a contract Wednesday with the Eagles, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Following a one-year stint with the Colts, Aiken will look to resurrect his career with the reigning Super Bowl champs. Given the Eagles' crowded receiving room along with Aiken's underwhelming production a season ago, it seems more likely than not that he'll fail to make the Week 1 roster. Aiken's best season came with the Ravens in 2015, when he hauled in 75 passes for 944 yards and five scores.

Colts' Kamar Aiken: Heads into free agency
Aiken, who totaled 15 receptions for 133 yards on 44 targets in 15 games this season, now heads into free agency for the second straight season.
It was a tough first go-round in Indianapolis for Aiken, who logged career lows in receptions, yards and touchdowns, despite making seven starts with the team. It's difficult to say if his 2017 performance will garner another deal from the Colts, especially with Donte Moncrief also entering free agency. However, Aiken's breakout 2015 season with the Ravens could still be relevant enough to get him a deal somewhere in the league.

Aiken missed practice time during the week due to a hamstring injury but wasn't on the injury report and it didn't appear to be a factor in his lack of playing time. Aiken has become buried on the bench due to his inability to catch the ball as he's hauled in just 14 of 38 targets.

Aiken (hamstring) doesn't have a designation in advance of Sunday's game against the Titans.
Aiken has mostly been a persona non grata in the Colts' passing attack this season. As evidence, he's earned 62 percent of the offensive snaps but turned the third-most targets on the team (38) into a measly 14 catches for 131 yards and no touchdowns. Although his health isn't in question, he's barely worthy of consideration in any format.

The Colts' bye week enabled Aiken to progress to the point of returning to practice, but the wideout doesn't look like he's completely healthy just yet. Even if Aiken does suit up Sunday against the Titans, he wouldn't be a major factor in the Indianapolis passing game.

Aiken's absence this week should open up added opportunities for Chester Rogers and Matt Hazel, but neither is a high-percentage lineup dart this weekend, especially if both T.Y. Hilton (groin) and Donte Moncrief are available. Hilton was able to practice in a limited fashion Friday but is listed as questionable by the Colts heading into the weekend.

Aiken had two receptions for 33 yards on five targets in Sunday's loss to the Bengals. He said his two drops cost the Colts the game. "Plays I usually make, just didn't make them today. Every target I had was catchable," he told the Indianapolis Star.
