Bills' Latavius Murray: Shares backfield with Cook, Johnson
Murray carried the ball nine times for 30 yards in Sunday's 37-34 overtime loss to the Eagles.
Murray's role has certainly settled into a tight zone this season -- he's had nine or 10 carries in each of the past three weeks while playing a modest role in the offense behind starter James Cook. Ty Johnson is also starting to see action in the backfield with a touchdown catch in Week 11 and six carries for 19 yards in the loss to the Eagles. Murray has been an asset for the Bills, but he's simply a bit player in an offense that has plenty of other guys that can score touchdowns. He has found the end zone three times this season, but only once since Week 3.

Bills' Latavius Murray: Handles 10 carries Week 11
Murray carried 10 times for 35 yards in Sunday's 32-6 win over the Jets.
Murray played 24 of the Bills' 76 offensive snaps Sunday, trailing lead back James Cook (35) and placing him ahead of Ty Johnson (16). Despite seeing 10 touches, the veteran Murray was unable to get much going in the contest. Meanwhile, both Cook and Johnson were able to find the end zone as receivers. It's possible that Johnson could continue to see his role grow in Buffalo's offense, which would further limit Murray's upside as the team's No. 2 back. Nonetheless, the 33-year-old will look to hang on as the team's top backup when the Bills visit the Eagles in Week 12. Leonard Fournette also lurks on the practice squad as a potential challenger to Murray for the top backup role.

Bills' Latavius Murray: Strong showing in tough loss
Murray carried nine times for 68 yards and a score while catching two balls on three targets for one yard in Monday's 24-22 loss to the Broncos.
The touchdown was Murray's first since Week 3, while the rushing yardage was a season high. He was the beneficiary of teammate James Cook's sudden fumbling issues Monday, and the 33-year-old Murray ran aggressively while bringing energy to a stagnant offense while Cook stood on the sideline in the doghouse. The younger RB redeemed himself later in the game and finished with 109 rushing yards, but the performance by Murray was probably enough to keep him comfortably in the No. 2 seat while Damien Harris is on IR (concussion) and Leonard Fournette remains on the practice squad.
