So that happened.
What does it mean in the grand scheme of things? Not much, we'd imagine. Young, who last took a snap in an NFL regular-season game back in 2011, will pretty much be the same quarterback we saw in Tennessee and Philly (and briefly in Buffalo last August). The guy's going to be rusty after taking a year off. Whether he's improved enough to be Aaron Rodgers' immediate backup, the No. 3 guy behind Graham Harrell, or even worthy of a roster spot will be determined in the coming days and weeks.
"I just want to get in here and earn the team respect and staff and coaches' respect and continue to keep playing football, the game that I love," Young said Tuesday after his first practice with the team.
As for the difference between 2013 Vince and the quarterback who played himself out of the league after the 2011 season? One word.
"Maturing," Young said, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "That's the biggest thing. Back in the day, I was a young Vince. Now, I'm more mature and definitely learned from things that happened in the past. I'm married now, a grown man, 30 years old. I'm kind of like the old head in this locker room."
