Packers announce cuts to get down to 53

Quarterback Vince Young, running back Alex Green and tight end D.J. Williams were among the veterans cut by the Packers on Saturday. But the team waived many more in getting down to the mandated 53.

The following are also gone: fullback Jonathan Amosa, safeties Chaz Powell and David Fulton, centers Patrick Lewis and Garth Gerhart, tackle Kevin Hughes, wide receivers Miles White, Tyrone Walker and Charles Johnson, linebackers Donte Savage, Dezman Moses and Terrell Manning, cornerbacks Brandon Smith, James Nixon and Loyce Means, defensive tackle Jordan Miller, and tight ends Jake Stoneburner and Matthew Mulligan.
