Nate Allen edges Earl Wolff for starting safety job

Eagles coach Chip Kelly announced Wednesday Nate Allen will start at safety opposite Patrick Chung Week 1 at Washington. Allen beat out Earl Wolff, but Kelly said Wolff will play some in a reserve role Monday.
