GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Jeremy Lane made a massive play, picking off Tom Brady in the end zone. But he suffered an absolutely gruesome injury while trying to return it.
The shot of his arm bent as he falls to the ground doesn't even really look real, but it's what came across the Getty wire services.
Lane was ruled doubtful with an arm injury for the game initially but it stands to reason he won't be returning.
As soon as Lane went down, the Patriots went after his replacement Tharold Simon, who struggled immediately in keeping up with Julian Edelman and got burnt by Brandon LaFell on a touchdown catch.
