  • Jeremy Lane: Pleads guilty to reduced charge

Lane pleaded guilty Monday to an revised charge of reckless driving for an arrest in King County, Wash. on the morning of Sunday, Jan. 14, KOMONews.com reports.

Initially charged with DUI, Lane's BAC of 0.039 was below the state's legal limit of 0.08, hence the reason for the reduced charge. While he awaits a sentencing hearing on May 4, the cornerback will continue his search for a new home after his release from the Seahawks in early March. Lane produced in an expanded role the last two seasons, compiling 80 tackles (57 solo) in 29 games.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Released by Seattle

Lane will be released by the Seahawks on Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Already a candidate for release due to his 2018 salary ($6 million) on the heels of an underwhelming 2017 season (31 tackles, zero picks), Lane did himself no favors when he was arrested on a DUI charge in January. The Seahawks actually agreed to trade him to Houston in late October, but he was removed from the trade after failing a physical. The 27-year-old cornerback is unlikely to find a team that's willing to assure him of a starting job.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Booked on DUI charge

Lane was arrested Sunday near Seattle on a DUI charge, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

There aren't any further details surrounding Lane's arrest, other than he was released from jail four hours after being booked. The 27-year-old has spent all six of his NFL seasons with the Seahawks, but was nearly dealt to the Texans in October before a failed physical kept him in Seattle. Lane's diminished effectiveness cost him playing time late in the season, and the offseason DUI arrest certainly won't help his standing in the organization.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Available Sunday

Lane (knee) is active for Sunday's contest at San Francisco.

The Seahawks secondary has been a patchwork effort of late, with Richard Sherman (Achilles) out for the season, Kam Chancellor (neck) out indefinitely and rookie Shaquill Griffin (concussion) out in the short term. Along with Lane, head coach Pete Carroll will trust in Byron Maxwell, a previous member of the Legion of Boom, to man the cornerback spots.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Set to play Sunday

Lane (knee), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, is expected to start in the contest, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that all nine players Seattle is listing as questionable for Week 12 should play, including Lane, who was promoted to a starting role in the Week 11 loss to the Falcons with Richard Sherman (Achilles) out for the season. The Seahawks also lost their other starting cornerback, Shaquil Griffin, to a concussion early against the Falcons, so Lane will be joined in the starting lineup by the newly signed Byron Maxwell on Sunday.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Appears on injury report

Lane is questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers with a knee injury, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

With Shaquill Griffin (concussion) and Richard Sherman (Achilles) sitting out, Lane is slated to be the Seahawks' top cornerback if he's healthy. In his first game without Sherman, he posted a season-high seven tackles (two solo).

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Set to start

Lane is set to start at cornerback going forward, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

Weeks after returning to the Seahawks after a rescinded trade due to a failed physical, Lane will now be the starting left corner back in place of the injured Richard Sherman. Justin Coleman was another candidate for the role, but will instead remain the nickelback. The 27-year-old recorded two tackles in his return to action last week.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Set for increased workload

Lane is in line for a more significant role after Richard Sherman ruptured his Achilles tendon Thursday at Arizona, Lindsey Wisniewski of USA Today reports.

Lane has started 19 games across six NFL seasons, including four this year, but he also lost the starting gig opposite Sherman to rookie Shaquill Griffin after Week 4. Following an aborted trade to Houston last week, Lane found himself back in the only home he's known as a pro and now is poised for a larger workload. For his career, he's averaging 2.0 tackles per game while posting two interceptions and a forced fumble in 63 appearances.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Full practice Tuesay

Lane (thigh) logged a full workload at Tuesday's walk-through, John Doyle of the Seahawks' official website reports.

Lane was inactive for Sunday's loss to the Redskins. He reverted back to the Seahawks last week after being traded to the Texans due to a failed physical. He was a nonparticipant Monday, but it looks like he is on track to provide secondary depth in Week 10.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Set to sit Sunday

Lane (thigh) is listed as inactive for Sunday's game against the Redskins.

Lane was able to practice at full speed Friday, but that didn't translate into his Sunday availability. His absence reduces the Seahawks' secondary depth, since Earl Thomas (ankle) is also inactive. With a Thursday night game approaching in Week 10, Lane will have a short week to recover.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Questionable for Week 9

Lane (thigh) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Redskins, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Lane put in a full practice Friday, but that might not be enough for him to receive clearance to suit up Sunday, as Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times speculates that the cornerback will likely be held out this week. That wouldn't come as much of a surprise, given that Lane's bruised right thigh resulted in a failed physical earlier this week that nixed his inclusion in the trade to Houston that netted the Seahawks offensive tackle Duane Brown.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Non-participant Thursday

Lane (thigh) did not participate in Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official website reports.

Lane was traded to Houston earlier this week, only to revert back to the Seahawks following a failed physical. Given that his health was not up to par for the trade, it isn't surprising to see him watching from the sidelines at practice. It remains to be seen what his recovery timeline looks like, but he will presumably return in a reserve role.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Fails physical

Lane (thigh) failed his physical after being traded to the Texans and now will revert back to the Seahawks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The Seahawks now will send the Texans two high-round draft picks and a 2018 fifth-round pick for offensive lineman Duane Brown. Lane, who lost his starting job to rookie Shaquill Griffin, presumably will return to a backup role in the secondary assuming he recovers from his current groin injury.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Injures thigh

Lane suffered a right thigh bruise in Sunday's victory over the Texans, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports.

Seahawks' coach Pete Carroll relayed the information Monday when explaining why Lane only saw six defensive snaps. Shaquill Griffin and Keiko Thorpe are two options to see increased workloads against the Redskins in Week 9 should Lane ultimately be forced to miss sit out.

  • Texans' Jeremy Lane: Traded to Houston

The Seahawks traded Lane (thigh) to the Texans on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Lane was packaged with a 2018 fifth-rounder and a 2019 second-rounder in exchange for left tackle Duane Brown. It isn't clear if Lane will be available to suit up right away, though, considering he sustained a right thigh bruise this past Sunday. His level of involvement in practice this week should shed light on the matter.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Active for Sunday's game

Lane (groin) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Texans.

Lane is gearing up for his first game since Week 4's matchup with Indy. The Seahawks draw a matchup with rookie Deshaun Watson.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Questionable for Week 8

Lane (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

Lane was a full practice participant Wednesday and Friday, but he only turned in a limited session on Thursday. One would think the 27-year-old would be on track to play Sunday following the full sessions, but he has not played since Week 4 and practice participation has not been a reliable indicator on his game status over the last few weeks. Rookie Shaquill Griffin would receive another start at cornerback should Lane be unable to play against the Texans.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Does not practice Thursday

Lane (groin) did not practice Thursday, John Boyle of Seahawks' official site reports.

Lane must have suffered a setback this week, because he was a full participant in practice Wednesday. The cornerback hasn't played since Week 4, so Friday's injury report will be pivotal in determining whether or not he makes his return this Sunday.

  • Seahawks' Jeremy Lane: Full participant Wednesday

Lane (groin) was a full participant at the Seahawks' practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Lane did not play against the Giants on Sunday after practicing fully on back-to-back days last week, so it's difficult to pinpoint where he is in his recovery. The 27-year-old's practice limitations, or lack thereof, later in the week should provide a better indication of his status for Week 8.
