Dragan Bender: Going overseas
Bender has signed a contract to play in Israel with Maccabi Tel Aviv, Nemanja Zoric reports.
Bender saw action with both Milwaukee and Golden State in 2019-20, averaging 6.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 17.9 minutes. However, there was going to be little interest for Bender in the NBA after four underwhelming campaigns. As a result, he's opted to go overseas, where he should see a bigger role.

Warriors' Dragan Bender: Pops for 23 points in loss
Bender totaled 23 points (8-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), seven rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes during Tuesday's 131-107 loss to the Clippers.
A lot fell into place for Bender, allowing him to compile his best game of the season. The Warriors were already without a number of players and lost Juan Toscano-Anderson (ankle) to injury after less than a minute. The game then transitioned into garbage time, which afforded Bender plenty of run down the stretch. Based on what we have seen over the past few weeks, this is likely an outlier, and there is no need to rush out and add Bender anywhere outside of the deepest formats.

Warriors' Dragan Bender: Re-ups with Golden State
Bender re-signed Thursday with the Warriors on a second 10-day contract, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Bender briefly hit the open market after his original 10-day deal expired Tuesday, but Warriors coach Steve Kerr noted earlier in the week that he was interested in retaining the big man. Golden State was ultimately able to find a spot on the roster for Bender for another week and a half after he impressed in his initial trail with the club. Over his first six games with Golden State, Bender averaged 7.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 three-pointers in 23.3 minutes, though he shot only 36.7 percent from the field.

Warriors' Dragan Bender: Contract expires
Bender's 10-day contract with the Warriors expired Tuesday, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.
The Warriors got a nice sample size from Bender's 10-day contract, as he appeared in six games. In 23.3 minutes per contest, he averaged 7.5 points on 8.2 shots, 6.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Slater reports that the Warriors aren't planning to immediately re-sign Bender to another 10-day, instead prioritizing flexibility.

Warriors' Dragan Bender: Coming off bench
Bender will return to a reserve role in Tuesday's tilt against the Nuggets, Wes Goldberg of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
The Warriors have opted to go with a smaller lineup, so Bender will come off the bench as a result. Still, the team only has nine healthy players, so he figures to see plenty of run off the bench.

Bender was solid enough in his Warriors debut that he could at least be a regular rotational piece moving forward. The team was without a number of players for this one, which certainly opened up playing time for its newest member. Bender has shown glimpses of what he's capable of during limited playing time this season; should he work his way into a bigger role, Bender could have some deep-league value moving forward.

Warriors' Dragan Bender: Could be set for extended minutes
Bender is expected to play at both power forward and center Sunday against New Orleans, Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Bender spent the first part of the season with the Bucks before being waived in early February. He saw 91 minutes across seven appearances, totaling 26 points, 20 rebounds, nine assists and five blocks. Given that the Warriors are far out of playoff contention, the organization is in a position to give Bender a chance.

The fourth-overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft will end his tenure with Milwaukee in unspectacular fashion. Bender struggled to find minutes in the Bucks' deep rotation and was held to 3.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13.0 minutes across seven games. He was able to drill 44.4 percent of his threes, though the sample size was severely limited. Still just 22 years old, there's a good chance that another team could take a flier on the Croatian forward.

Bucks' Dragan Bender: Heads to G League
The Bucks assigned Bender to the G League's Wisconsin Herd on Thursday.
Bender recently enjoyed a three-game run as the Bucks' backup center, but he dropped out of coach Mike Budenholzer's rotation entirely Tuesday, when Robin Lopez returned from an illness in a 151-131 win over The Wizards. Playing time will be scarce for Bender moving forward when Lopez and twin brother Brook are both available, so the 2016 first-round pick will head to the G League to get some meaningful run in a competitive environment. Expect him to play big minutes for the Herd in their game Thursday versus the College Park Skyhawks.

Bender had appeared in each of the past three games as the Bucks' backup center, but he dropped out of the rotation Tuesday with Robin Lopez (illness) back in action. The Bucks' propensity for blowing opponents out should open up more run for Bender than most third-string players around the league, though it'll be tough to put much stock in any garbage-time stats he puts up.

Bucks' Dragan Bender: Plays 14 minutes in rout
Bender saw 14 minutes of action off the bench in Monday's win over Chicago.
The Bucks took a flier on Bender this summer, and he's yet to make much of an impact for what's been one of the healthier and more consistent rotations in the NBA. However, the absence of Robin Lopez (illness) of late has allowed Bender to see some minutes in three of the last four games. He played 21 minutes in wins over New York and Brooklyn, respectively, before Monday's game, which he finished with five points, three rebounds, two assists and one block. Once Lopez returns, expect Bender to return to a lesser role and plenty of DNPs.

Bender was dealing with a sprained ankle, but he'll get back out on the court in the G League on Friday. He's started six games with the Herd this season, averaging 20.2 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 blocks.
