Timofey Mozgov: Heading to Europe
Mozgov reached a verbal commitment Friday on a multi-year contract with Russian club Khimki Moscow, Nikos Varlas of Eurohoops.net reports.
Mozgov spent the 2018-19 season with the Magic but didn't appear in a single contest while battling a knee injury. The severity of the issue was never disclosed, but even if Mozgov had been in better health, the 32-year-old center would have merited consideration for a rotation spot. A poor fit in the modern NBA, Mozgov looks destined to finish out his career overseas.

Magic's Timofey Mozgov: Waived by Orlando
Mozgov (knee) was waived by the Magic on Saturday.
A knee injury prevented Mozgov from appearing in any games for the Magic last season. With Nikola Vucevic and Mo Bamba in the fold, it was unlikely Mozgov would see minutes in 2019-20, either.

Magic's Timofey Mozgov: Still not ready to play
Mozgov (knee) is listed as out on the Magic's injury report for Friday's game against the Bulls.
The Magic didn't attach a timeline for Mozgov's return to action after he underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in early January, but he's unlikely to crack the rotation even if he's cleared to play at some point in the second half. Mozgov hasn't seen any action for Orlando since being acquired from the Hornets on July 7, with the Magic merely taking on his onerous contract in order to pick up a developmental point guard (Jerian Grant) as part of the deal.

Magic's Timofey Mozgov: Has arthroscopic procedure
Mozgov (knee) had an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee Friday, John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com reports.
How quickly Mozgov, who hasn't played in a contest all season long yet, will return is based primarily on how well he recovers and responds to therapy on his right knee in the weeks to come. Since signing a four-year, $64 million contract with the Lakers in July of 2016, the Russian has been noted as a bust, as he is averaging only 5.8 points and 4.1 rebounds per outing dating back to the start of the 2016-17 campaign.

Mozgov is yet to play this season, and he's been preemptively ruled out for Tuesday's matchup with the Heat. At this point, the Magic aren't looking to get much out of the veteran big man, who's owed $16 million in 2018-19 and close to $17 million next season before his contract finally comes off the books.
