Despite being a backup to shooting guard Aaron Best, Meeks remains an adequate scorer off the 905's bench. He has averaged 11.6 points across his last 15 G League games.

Meeks tallied 16 points (5-14 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and three assists across 22 minutes in Wednesday's 123-116 victory over the Motor City Cruise.

Meeks shot just 35 percent from the field and 25 percent from deep against the Cruise on Wednesday, but he still managed to put up solid numbers in the win. He's averaging 9.9 points per game (and shooting much better overall) in his eight appearances for 905 this season, coming off the bench in all of them.

Meeks rode the three-pointer Sunday as eight of his nine shots came from beyond the arc. He's making 60 percent of his attempts from deep in the G League this season, with an average of three three-pointers per game.

  • Jodie Meeks: Scores 16 in G League debut

Meeks recorded 16 points (5-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT) and three rebounds across 22 minutes in Thursdays 113-104 loss to the Capital City Go-Go.

Meeks played his first game in a few years Thursday, and he was an effective shooter despite 905's defeat. The 10-year NBA veteran could be an instrumental character in his new team's locker room, even if he may be limited to appearances off the bench on the court.

  • Jodie Meeks: Joins Toronto's G League squad

  • Raptors' Jodie Meeks: Scores 14 points in 29 minutes

Meeks tallied 14 points (6-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt), five rebounds, and one steal in 29 minutes during Saturday's 124-101 victory over Chicago.

Meeks scored a season-high 14 points in Saturday's blowout victory, hitting two triples and adding five rebounds. The Raptors played around with their rotations in the comfortable victory and that could be the case moving forward. Meeks has the ability to hit multiple three-pointers and should he see in excess of 25 minutes, could be a backend streaming option.

  • Raptors' Jodie Meeks: Re-signs with Raptors

Meeks agreed to terms on a deal that will keep him with the Raptors for the remainder of the season, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

The veteran spent time with the Raptors earlier in the season, and he'll now join the team for the remainder of the year as insurance off the bench. Meeks previously saw time in only two games for Toronto, totaling 15 points and four rebounds in 24 minutes of action.

  • Jodie Meeks: No longer with Toronto

The Raptors don't plan to re-sign Meeks after his 10-day contract expired Saturday, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.

The expiration of Meeks' deal leaves the Raptors with just 13 players on the roster, giving the team two weeks to get back to league-mandated 14. For now, Toronto looks content to fill that spot with some of the other options available on the waiver wire, with Lewenberg noting that veteran center Marcin Gortat could be under consideration for the opening. Meeks only appeared in two games for Toronto during his brief stint with the club, averaging 7.5 points and 2.0 boards in 12.0 minutes.

  • Raptors' Jodie Meeks: Inks 10-day with Toronto

Meeks will sign a 10-day contract with the Raptors, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Meeks hasn't played since last season, when he appeared in 77 games for the Wizards, averaging 6.3 points and 1.6 rebounds across 14.5 minutes. The Raptors are presumably looking for some floor spacing off the bench, and Meeks has shot 37.6 percent from distance since the 2010-11 season.

  • Jodie Meeks: Officially waived by Bucks

Meeks will be waived by the Bucks on Saturday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

This was the plan all along when the Bucks acquired Meeks from Washington back in October, picking up a trade exception in the process. Meeks has been suspended to begin the year stemming from a violation of the league's anti-drug policy, and he'll be waived after Saturday's game against the Spurs with the suspension fully served. The veteran will be free to sign with another team, but it's unclear how much interest he'll generate on the open market.

  • Jodie Meeks: Traded to Bucks, will be waived

Meeks was traded to the Bucks on Monday and will be waived, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

The Wizards will send Meeks, who's currently suspended for a violation of the league's anti-drug program, as well as cash and a second-round pick to the Bucks, who will use a trade exception to absorb Meeks before waiving him. It's essentially a means of opening up a roster spot for the Wizards and a pick-grab by Milwaukee, which did not have interest in keeping the veteran shooter around. Meeks will now become a free agent, but he won't be able to play until he complete's his 25-game ban, which he cannot begin serving until he signs with another team.

  • Wizards' Jodie Meeks: Picks up player option

Meeks exercised his player option for the 2018-19 season, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Meeks' option is a relatively cheap one -- just $3.4 million -- and will only pay him about $160,000 more than he made during the 2017-18 season. The 30-year-old appeared in 77 games -- his most in four years -- for the Wizards, but he shot just 39.9 percent from the floor and 34.3 percent from three, nearly three percentage points lower than his career mark. The Kentucky product will once again fill a minor role off the bench, but he'll miss roughly a quarter of the regular season after being suspended in April for a violation of the league's Anti-Drug policy.
