Outman went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Giants.
Outman is still searching for a multi-hit game in September, having gone 12-for-66 (.181) this month. He's made up for the slump a bit with five homers and nine RBI over his last 21 contests, and he's still seeing most of the playing time in center field. Outman is up to 22 long balls, 68 RBI, 81 runs scored, 15 stolen bases and a .244/.351/.434 slash line through 145 games this year.

Outman went just 2-for-12 in this weekend's three-game series, but both of his hits were homers. Outman played a key role in sending the game to extra frames, drawing a one-out walk in the ninth inning, stealing second base and advancing to third on an error, and scoring the tying run on a Kolten Wong single. The theft was his 15th of the campaign, second-most on the Dodgers behind Freddie Freeman. Dodgers' James Outman: Showing improved plate discipline
In 16 games since the All-Star break, Outman has posted a 25.0 percent walk rate and a 21.7 percent strikeout rate. Prior to the break, those numbers were 8.6 percent and 34.4 percent, respectively.
Outman has reached base safely in all but two of his 16 games in the second half, with his ability to draw free passes being a big part of that success. The rookie struggled mightily with strikeouts early in the campaign, which led to him holding a mediocre .236 batting average going into the All-Star break. Outman has looked like a different player coming out of the break, with his strikeout percentage dropping to a palatable 21.7 percent and, not coincidentally, his slash line looking solid at .318/.500/.432. He's gone deep only once in 60 plate appearances, but his ability to get on base has helped lead to three thefts and nine runs scored. Outman's improvements at the plate -- along with his strong defense in center field -- have helped him remain in the lineup on a near-everyday basis and have improved his fantasy outlook in both redraft and dynasty formats.

Outman came into the game 0-for-6 across his last two contests. He was able to turn things around, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances Tuesday, which included him knocking a walk-off double in the 10th inning. The outfielder's strong performance lifted his slash line to .247/.341/.427 with 12 home runs, 43 RBI, 51 runs scored and 11 stolen bases through 94 contests. With Jake Marisnick (hamstring) on the injured list and Jonny DeLuca (hamstring) exiting Tuesday's game, Outman could see his playing time solidify into more of a full-time role in the near term.
