Sulser was released by the KT Wiz of the Korea Baseball Organization on Friday, Dan Kurtz of MyKBO.net reports. Sulser was released to make room for William Cuevas after Cuevas was signed by the Wiz on Friday. In nine starts in the KBO, Sulser registered a 5.62 ERA and 35:14 K:BB over 49.2 innings. Sulser cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday, Rob Biertempfel of The Athletic reports. Sulser was claimed off waivers from Baltimore in mid-October, but he won't remain on Pittsburgh's 40-man roster through the offseason. The Orioles recalled Sulser from Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday. He and Keegan Akin will move up to the big club ahead of Wednesday's game against the Red Sox after the Orioles needed their bullpen to cover 12.2 innings in the first two games of the series in Boston. Steve Melewski@masnSteve2D agoAnother reason for good O's pitching. Among MLB leaders in groundball rate: 51.0 – San Francisco 49.8 – Atlanta 47.7 – Philadelphia 47.5 – Colorado 46.0 – Orioles Last season they ranked ninth in the majors in grounder rate at 43.7. With that IF defense, it's big.
