Rodriguez (3-0) picked up the win with a perfect inning in Sunday's 3-2 victory over the Athletics.
Rodriguez threw seven of his 11 pitches for strikes, retiring the side in order during the eighth inning. The right-hander has posted seven consecutive scoreless outings, allowing just three hits with an 11:2 K:BB, two wins and a hold over seven innings in that span. Rodriguez leads all Giants pitchers with a 0.92 ERA and has recorded a 0.71 WHIP, 27:2 BB:K and three holds across 19.2 innings in 19 appearances this season.

Rodriguez struck out the side in a scoreless eighth inning during Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Twins.
Rodriguez tossed his fourth consecutive scoreless outing Saturday, throwing 10 of his 12 pitches for strikes in an extremely efficient effort. Rodriguez threw two scoreless innings in Friday's 2-0 loss to the Rangers, allowing two hits and striking out three.
Rodriguez worked two innings for the first time this season, throwing 15 of his 24 pitches for strikes while giving up two singles. The 25-year-old has been impressive so far and is the first Giants pitcher since 1901 to record 11 scoreless outings to start the season -- a feat that has been accomplished only 16 times in big-league history. Rodriguez allowed one hit while striking out one in two-thirds of an inning during Sunday's 5-4 win over the Mariners.
Rodriguez entered Sunday's matchup in the sixth frame with one out and two runners on base, allowing an RBI single before retiring Seattle's next two batters. Aside from the single, the 25-year-old was effective during his limited time on the mound, throwing eight of his 13 pitches for strikes while protecting a 4-2 lead. Giants' Randy Rodriguez: Activated from IL
The Giants reinstated Rodriguez (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Friday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
Elbow inflammation has kept Rodriguez on the injured list since mid-August, but he'll return in time to add depth to San Francisco's bullpen for the final series of the season. Prior to his injury, the 25-year-old rookie put up a 3.93 ERA and 1.19 WHIP across 50.1 innings in the bigs, and he'll most likely work in middle relief now that he's healthy again. Mason Black was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Giants' Randy Rodriguez: Resumes mound work
Rodriguez (elbow) threw 30-pitch bullpen sessions at Oracle Park on Thursday and Sunday, MLB.com reports.
After being placed on the 15-day injured list Aug. 15 with a right elbow flexor strain, Rodriguez was shut down for two weeks before he was cleared to begin a throwing program Sept. 3. He looks to be building up his pitch count through side sessions and should soon be ready to face hitters before likely heading out on a brief minor-league rehab assignment. Rodriguez could make it back from the IL during the final week of the regular season.

Giants' Randy Rodriguez: Facing multi-week shutdown
Giants manager Bob Melvin said Sunday that Rodriguez (elbow) will be shut down from throwing for at least a couple weeks, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The right-hander landed on the injured list Thursday due to elbow inflammation, and that diagnosis was confirmed after undergoing an MRI. Rodriguez has yet to be ruled out for the season, but he'll likely need to avoid any setbacks in his recovery to have a chance of rejoining the Giants in late September.

The Giants placed Rodriguez on the 15-day injured list Thursday due to right elbow inflammation, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Rodriguez will be eligible to return before the end of the month, but given the nature of the injury it's difficult to say at this point whether he has a chance to be ready by that date. Spencer Bivens has been recalled in a corresponding move.

Rodriguez (3-2) allowed an unearned run on one hit over one inning to take the extra-inning loss Tuesday versus Atlanta. He did not issue a walk or strike out a batter.
Rodriguez gave up an RBI single to Travis d'Arnaud, which plated the initial runner in the 10th inning, and the Giants failed to respond for their second extra-inning loss in a row. While this run wasn't earned, Rodriguez has allowed six runs (five earned) over his last 9.2 innings despite sparse usage since the All-Star break. He's at a 3.93 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 52:16 K:BB through 50.1 innings while adding five holds and a blown save in a low-leverage role this season.

This was a bullpen game for the Giants, and Rodriguez was their second pitcher in a contest in which they never trailed. Rodriguez was called up as a reinforcement for the bullpen earlier Sunday after Sean Hjelle (personal) went on the bereavement list. For the season, Rodriguez has a 4.11 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 47:15 K:BB while adding five holds over 46 innings through 30 appearances. Rodriguez allowed a run on one hit and two walks while striking out five over 2.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Cubs on Tuesday.
Rodriguez made his first career start and had the most work of the Giants' six pitchers in the contest, though he was never going to pitch deep enough to have a chance at the win. He's given up 11 runs over 14.1 innings in June, but he has a 15:4 K:BB in that span that suggests he's got a skill set that can keep him in the majors. For the year, he's at a 4.70 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 36:11 K:BB over 30.2 innings through 19 appearances. With the Giants' rotation unlikely to gain reinforcements until July, Rodriguez may see a few more opener assignments over the next couple of weeks if manager Bob Melvin opts to protect the pitchers the team has called up to plug holes.

The Astros found success against Erik Miller to begin the 10th inning, but Rodriguez got a groundout from Jeremy Pena to end the half-inning with the Giants down 3-1. They rallied on offense, earning a walk-off win to give Rodriguez his second victory this season. Rodriguez has allowed multiple runs in two of his last six outings, but he's gone five appearances without walking a batter. Rodriguez entered the game with the Giants behind by a run in the fifth inning, but he was sharp and the offense pulled ahead while the rookie right-hander was in the game. After allowing six runs (three earned) over his first three appearances, Rodriguez is riding a 7.2-inning scoreless streak over his last five appearances. He's at a 1.76 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 19:4 K:BB over 15.1 innings this season, and he's also picked up one hold. He has the ability to cover multiple innings, but that is likely to limit him to mostly low-leverage work despite his excellent ratios so far.
