Shore signed a minor-league contract Thursday with the Giants. Shore is 28 years old and has yet to appear in a game at the MLB level. A second-round pick of the Athletics in the 2016 MLB Draft, he struggled to a 5.68 ERA and 39:24 K:BB in 52.1 innings last season with the Triple-A affiliate of the Tigers.... See More ... See Less

Logan Shore: Released by Tigers
Shore was released by the Tigers on Thursday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports. Shore was traded to the Tigers in 2018 and has spent most of the last two seasons at Triple-A Toledo. He posted a 4.67 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 125.1 innings over 41 appearances (21 starts) with the Triple-A club and will now seek out other opportunities.... See More ... See Less -
Tigers' Logan Shore: Added to 60-man pool
Shore was added to the Tigers' 60-man player pool Thursday. The 25-year-old righty logged a 3.43 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 58:39 K:BB in 97 innings at Double-A last season. He projects as a swingman or middle reliever long term.... See More ... See Less -
Tigers' Logan Shore: Healthy in camp
Shore (undisclosed) is listed as an available option out of the bullpen for the Tigers in Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports. Shore didn't pitch after Aug. 21 last season and finished the campaign on Double-A Erie's 7-day injured list, but his inclusion on the lineup card Tuesday indicates he's healthy heading into the 2020 campaign. After submitting a 3.43 ERA across 23 appearances (16 starts) for Erie in 2019, Shore is expected to move into the Triple-A Toledo rotation this season.... See More ... See Less -
Tigers' Logan Shore: Sent to Detroit to complete Fiers trade
Shore was sent from Oakland to Detroit as a player to be named later Wednesday, completing the Mike Fiers trade. The 23-year-old made 13 starts for Double-A Midland this season, recording an unimpressive 5.50 ERA. He avoided walks, giving free passes to 6.2 percent of batters, but struck out just 16.1 percent.... See More ... See Less -
Athletics' Logan Shore: Back from injury in dominant fashion
Shore (lat) has a 0.90 ERA and a 14:1 K:BB in 10 innings pitched since returning from the disabled list with High-A Stockton. Shore has been out since last summer with a lat strain, but his performance indicates that he isn't hindered by the issue at all anymore. This will be the 23-year-old's second go-around of the High-A level, so there's a chance he could find his way up to Double-A if he continues this strong start.... See More ... See Less -
Athletics' Logan Shore: Still out with lat strain
Shore (lat strain) is being held back in extended spring training, MLB.com's Mike Rosenbaum reports. The lat strain limited him for most of camp, and it is unclear when he will return to the mound. He logged a 3.43 FIP, 1.33 WHIP and 74 strikeouts in 72.2 innings at High-A last year. Shore will likely be assigned to Double-A Midland once healthy.... See More ... See Less -
Athletics' Logan Shore: Plays catch Sunday
Shore (trapezius) progressed to playing catch Sunday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports. Shore has yet to appear in a Cactus League game this spring while dealing with the discomfort in his upper shoulders, but Sunday's development was a step in the right direction. The 23-year-old right-hander isn't a roster candidate and is likely to start the season at High-A Stockton, where he went 2-5 with a 4.09 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and impressive 74:16 K:BB across 72.2 innings in 2017.... Athletics' Logan Shore: Heads to DL
Shore was placed on the disabled list with High-A Stockton due to a lat strain, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. It's unclear when he sustained the injury or how severe it is, but more information should come forth as he gets back into the swing of things. Prior to getting hurt, Shore put up a 3.12 ERA and a 32:6 K:BB in 34.2 innings with the Ports.... See More ... See Less -
Athletics' Logan Shore: Turns in strong spot start
Shore gave up an earned run on two hits and a walk over four innings in Tuesday's Cactus League loss to the Angels. He struck out three. The 22-year-old right-hander, selected with the 47th overall pick in the 2016 first-year player draft, acquitted himself quite well against an Angels lineup that included Yunel Escobar, Kole Calhoun, Mike Trout and Albert Pujols. Shore got word Tuesday morning that he'd get the start according to CSN California's Joe Stiglich and he impressively claimed Trout as one of his strikeout victims. Shore, who was a teammate of Oakland's 2016 sixth overall pick A.J. Puk at the University of Florida, is likely to start the 2017 campaign at High-A Stockton.... See More ... See Less
