Dodgers' James Pazos: Call-up delayed
Updating a previous report, the Dodgers won't select Pazos' contract from Triple-A Oklahoma City ahead of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Cubs, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.
After designating Mike Kickham for assignment Monday, the Dodgers initially planned to replace him on the 40-man and 26-man rosters with Pazos, but the team never made the transaction official after Monday's series opener with the Cubs was postponed due to inclement weather. Los Angeles has now elected to replace Kickham on the active roster with catcher Keibert Ruiz, but Pazos could still get a call-up ahead of the second game of Tuesday's twin bill if Los Angeles elects to designate him as its 27th man.

The Dodgers reassigned Pazos to their minor-league camp Tuesday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
Pazos is expected to begin the season as a member of Triple-A Oklahoma City's bullpen. The 29-year-old lefty has made 155 relief appearances between the Yankees, Mariners and Rockies over the past six seasons, posting a 3.95 ERA across 127.2 innings.

Pazos signed a minor-league deal with the Dodgers in December and will now get a chance to showcase his talent during the spring. The southpaw hurled 5.1 innings for Colorado last season, allowing 10 earned runs on 10 hits and five walks while striking out only one batter. Pazos signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on Friday, Alanna Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.
Pazos was outrighted at the beginning of October after being designated for assignment by the Rockies. He'll leave the organization in favor of the Dodgers, and he'll work with the major-league coaching staff during spring training.
