Robey-Coleman was placed on the Lions' practice squad COVID-19 list Tuesday. The cornerback was active for the first time this season in Week 14 against the Broncos, making four tackles while playing 59 defensive snaps. Robey-Coleman will now enter the league's COVID-19 protocols, keeping him out of commission for at least the near future.... See More ... See Less

Nickell Robey-Coleman: Cut by Detroit
Robey-Coleman was released by the Lions on Tuesday, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports. Robey-Coleman found himself on the outside looking in after a couple of undrafted rookies in AJ Parker and Jerry Jacobs made names for themselves in the preseason. However, after logging seven straight seasons with at least 550 defensive snap, Robey-Coleman should easily find a spot with a more competitive team that might place less of an emphasis on developing younger players.... Rams' Nickell Robey-Coleman: Held out Sunday
Robey-Coleman (thigh) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints, Rich Hammond of the Los Angeles Daily News reports. Coleman exited the Week 11 loss to the Vikings with the thigh injury and was unable to practice this week, effectively sealing his fate for Sunday's contest. With the fifth-year cornerback unavailable, Dominique Hatfield and Kayvon Webster could be thrust into enhanced roles in the secondary.... See More ... See Less -
Rams' Nickell Robey-Coleman: Heading back to Los Angeles
Robey-Coleman signed with the Rams on Friday. Robey-Coleman joins the Rams after playing college ball at the Los Angeles Coliseum for USC. In returning to his former stomping ground as a Bills player last season, Robey-Coleman intercepted two passes, returning one for a touchdown. Although those were the 25-year-old's only picks of the campaign, Robey-Coleman still showed good promise as a nickel cornerback, where he figures to bolster the Rams' ranks this season.... Nickell Robey-Coleman: Released by Buffalo
Robey-Coleman was released by the Bills on Monday. Robey-Coleman's release comes as a bit of a surprise right before free agency begins. He had 35 tackles, a forced fumble, and seven passes defensed, including two interceptions, while playing in all 16 games in 2016. He'll be entering his age-25 season in 2017 and is coming off a campaign in which he emerged as one of the league's better nickel cornerbacks.... See More ... See Less -
Bills' Nickell Robey-Coleman: New injury for Buffalo's nickelback
Robey-Coleman left practice early Tuesday due to a quad contusion, BuffaloBills.com reports. Robey-Coleman just returned Monday from and ankle injury, so he must be getting frustrated that things aren't breaking his way as he tries to seal up the nickel job as a rising Kevon Seymour continues to make a good impression.... Bills' Nickell Robey-Coleman: Mild ankle injury
Robey-Coleman, who injured his ankle during Monday's practice, was on the sidelines in a walking boot Tuesday, BuffaloBills.com reports. Coach Rex Ryan says the boot is precautionary, so perhaps Robey-Coleman can get back into action soon. He's expected to be the Bills' nickel corner this season (is there a more aptly named player in the game?), though rookie Kevon Seymour, also out of USC like Robey-Coleman, has been coming on strong all summer.... Bills' Nickell Robey: Modest contributor
Robby finished the 2015 season, his third in the NFL, with 46 tackles, four passes defensed, and one sack. Robey will be back with the Bills next season, but the team is pretty set at corner and it's hard to see him getting anything more than a nickel-type role. He played in 61.8 percent of the team's defensive snaps this season, up slightly from the 58.9 percent he saw the previous season.... See More ... See Less -
Bills sign DB Nickell Robey to extension
The Bills agreed to a contract extension with defensive back Nickell Robey on Sunday, the team announced. Robey was entering the last year of his rookie contract. He produced 46 tackles and one sack in 16 games last season. "Nickell Robey has been a productive and dependable cornerback for our team since we signed him in 2013," Bills general manager Doug Whaley said. "I commend our scouting staff for identifying and signing a player of Nickell's caliber in the undrafted college free agent period. Since entering the NFL, Nickell has worked hard and taken advantage of his opportunities to make plays when called upon."... See More ... See Less -
Nickell Robey bringing the pressure
The Bills used rookie defensive back Nickell Robey in pass-rushing situations again in Week 16, and he got to the quarterback for the second straight game. Robey racked up two sacks in a 19-0 win over the Dolphins, one week after picking up his first career sack. Robey added four tackles Sunday.... See More ... See Less -

Bills healthy for game against Falcons
The Bills are in excellent shape as they prepare for their Sunday game against Atlanta. Defensive tackle Kyle Williams (back), who is questionable, is the lone player listed on their injury report that is not probable. Listed as probable are wide receivers Robert Woods (ankle) and Steve Johnson (groin) and cornerback Nickell Robey (ankle).... See More ... See Less -
Nickell Robey takes one to the house
Bills defensive back Nickell Robey showed off his big play ability in Week 7 against the Dolphins, as he intercepted his first career pass in a 23-21 win. Robey picked off Ryan Tannehill on the first drive of the game, jumping in front of a pass intended for Brandon Gibson. He took advantage of an open field in front of him and returned the interception 19 yards for a touchdown. Robey added two tackles, and had three passes defended as well. Robey entered the game with seven tackles and three pass defenses in six games.... See More ... See Less
