Thigpen was released by the Bills on Tuesday, was placed on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday, Tyler Dunne of The Buffalo News reports.
Even with Robert Woods (groin) placed on injured reserve, the Bills would prefer to get a look at some different wide receivers. Walter Powell, Dezmin Lewis and Greg Salas are replacing Thigpen and Woods on the 53-man roster
