It's not often that Alabama has bad weeks since Nick Saban took over, but the seven days leading up to their Thursday trip to the White House might have qualified. There was the accidental shattering of the BCS championship trophy (since revealed to have involved the father of long snapper Carson Tinker) and very late Wednesday, a fight that resulted in the hospitalization of receiver DeAndrew White.

But giving the President his second crimson jersey-and-helmet combo in three years has a way of curing a lot of ills, as the smiles on the faces of the Tide players and even Saban himself can attest. Bad week, schmad schmeek.
