One, two, three Cal running backs struck out against Stanford, while quarterbacks doomed Washington and Colorado in big, Week-8 losses...

Running backs Isi Sofele, C.J. Anderson, Brendan Bigelow, Cal -- Exactly like the Three Musketeers, but only if the Three Musketeers were running backs who could not find a single hole against Stanford. We just can't single out one of the above as the primary culprit; maybe the offensive line or running backs coach belong here. All we know is that Sofele gained 13 yards on 10 carries against the Cardinal, Anderson "added" five yards on seven carries, and Bigelow racked up precisely zero. With QB Zach Maynard tagged for negative-10 yards and wideout Bryce Treggs credited with one run for negative-five yards, the Bears finished with three total rushing yards, or 186 less than Stanford's Stepfan Taylor.

QB Keith Price, Washington -- Either Price is going to turn the corner sometime soon or we'll realize he exists in a cul-de-sac and he'll be going around in circles for hours. Price's three turnovers against Arizona in a 52-17 loss led directly to two touchdowns, and while his 256 yards are not bad, they came on 52 attempts, which is. Price still makes too many mistakes and Washington continues to spin its wheels.

QB Jordan Webb, Colorado -- Webb's performance in a 50-6 loss to USC could be summed up in one, two-play sequence in the fourth quarter. After leading the Buffaloes to the Trojans' 16-yard line, Webb was sacked on second-and-10 and fumbled, though Colorado recovered and swallowed an 8-yard loss. Then Webb threw an interception at the 1-yard line on the very next play. He finished with four turnovers, while his counterpart, Matt Barkley, connected on a conference record 19 of 20 passes with six touchdowns.
