LSU vs. Texas A&M updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday

1st Quarter Report

LSU is on the board, but we're still waiting on Texas A&M to respond. LSU has jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead against Texas A&M.

LSU came into the matchup with some extra motivation after the defeat they were dealt the last time these two teams faced off. We'll see if they're able to flip the script or if it'll just be more of the same.

Preview

Texas A&M has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the LSU Tigers at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Tiger Stadium. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Texas A&M was the big favorite in their most recent game, and for good reason. They took their match at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 38-10 win over Abilene Christian.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Texas A&M to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rueben Owens, who rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown. Jaylen Henderson was another key player, having thrown for 260 yards and two touchdowns.

We saw a pretty high 74-over/under line set for LSU's previous contest, but the actual score was more down to earth. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Georgia State 56-14 at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for LSU.

It was another big night for Jayden Daniels, who threw for 413 yards and six touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Kyren Lacy did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 101 receiving yards.

Texas A&M's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.7 points per game. As for LSU, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Texas A&M is hoping to beat the odds on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. For those looking to play the spread, keep Texas A&M's opponent in mind: they have a subpar 1-4 record against the spread vs LSU over their last five matchups.

Texas A&M strolled past LSU in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 by a score of 38-23. The rematch might be a little tougher for Texas A&M since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
