No. 1 -- RB Morrison. With RBs Cameron Marshall (ankle) and Kyle Middlebrooks (shoulder) shelved this spring, 213-pound James Morrison got lots of reps and impressed with his physical, relentless running. Morrison has been promised things in the past, but new coach Todd Graham favors a downhill running game and insists the hard-working, humble senior will be on the field, perhaps as a second back. No. 2 -- LB Bradford. Last season, Carl Bradford switched from OLB to DE and had some success. Coach Todd Graham believes Bradford is a dynamic presence who can make plays -- at end and in coverage. The staff is still tinkering with those details, but expect Bradford to be a major force. No. 3 -- RT Schwab. Brice Schwab, the oft-maligned behemoth of the line impressed coaches with his run-blocking, his work ethic and his coachability. There are issues to resolve in his pass protection, namely that he opens his shoulders too soon, but Schwab appears poised to finally realize his potential.
