• Wild's Graeme Clarke: Placed on waivers

  Clarke (lower body) landed on waivers Tuesday for the purpose of assignment to the AHL. Clarke had been tending to a lower-body injury after blocking a shot in a preseason game on Sept. 29. The right-shot winger will likely fill a top-six role for AHL Iowa now that he's healthy. The 23-year-old did not make an appearance with the Wild before being waived Tuesday.

• Wild's Graeme Clarke: Dealing with injury

  Clarke is expected to miss about a month with a lower-body injury, Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News reports Saturday. Clarke sustained his injury while blocking a shot during Minnesota's preseason game against the Stars on Sept. 29, and he'll begin the year on season-opening injured reserve. Once he's healthy, the 23-year-old will likely split time between the NHL and AHL clubs, which limits his fantasy value.

  Clarke signed a one-year, two-way contract with Minnesota on Tuesday. Clarke made his NHL debut with the Devils last season, logging three NHL games in which he notched six hits, two shots and zero points. While the 23-year-old winger didn't contribute much offensively at the NHL level, he did produce in the minors with 49 points in 67 outings with AHL Utica. Given his two-way deal, Clarke figures to split his time between levels next year, which will limit his overall fantasy value.

• Wild's Graeme Clarke: Traded to Minnesota

  Clarke was dealt to Minnesota from New Jersey in exchange for Adam Beckman on Friday. Clarke made his NHL debut with the Devils on Jan. 6 and managed to play in three top-level games before he was returned to AHL Utica. Clarke finished with 25 goals and 49 points in 67 regular-season games with Utica last season. He'll likely once again spend most of his time in the minors in 2024-25.

• Devils' Graeme Clarke: Sent back to minors

  Clarke was demoted to AHL Utica on Tuesday. Clarke saw action in just three NHL games this season in which he recorded two shots, six hits and two PIM while averaging 11:23 of ice time. The 22-year-old winger will return to the minors to suit up for the Comets, who are longshots to secure a place in the Calder Cup playoffs. In his previous time with the minor-league club, the Minnesota native notched 24 goals and 23 assists in 64 contests. He'll look to bring that offensive upside to training camp in the fall to make the Opening Night roster.
