Marchessault was named the Conn Smythe Trophy winner, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports. Marchessault ended the postseason with 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists) in 22 contests. Although linemate Jack Eichel finished the playoffs with a league-best 26 points, voters may have been swayed by Marchessault closing out the postseason on a 10-game scoring streak, consisting of eight goals and seven assists, including an assist in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Panthers in Game 5. Golden Knights' Jonathan Marchessault: Riding nine-game point streak
Marchessault posted an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Panthers in Game 4. Marchessault's up to eight goals and six assists during his nine-game point streak. He wasn't the star of the show Saturday, but he helped out on a William Karlsson tally in the second period, which stood as the game-winner. Marchessault scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Panthers in Game 3. Marchessault continues to be virtually unstoppable with eight goals and five assists during his active eight-game point streak. The Golden Knights weren't able to get anything going at even strength Thursday, but Marchessault remains effective in most scoring situations. Golden Knights' Jonathan Marchessault: Has three-point game
Marchessault contributed two goals and an assist in Vegas' 7-2 win over Florida in Game 2 on Monday. Marchessault tallied the opening goal on the power play midway through the first period and then provided the secondary helper on Alec Martinez's goal late in the frame. Marchessault's second marker came early in the third period to extend Vegas' edge to 5-1. He's been one of the Golden Knights' top forwards in the 2023 playoffs, providing 12 goals and 21 points in 19 outings. SinBin.vegas@SinBinVegas25D agoAs first reported by @MOBeaudoin1, and confirmed by @WillJulien97, the Golden Knights are expected to offer Max Comtois a PTO. The former Anaheim Duck was not extended a qualifying offer. He has scored 38 goals and 86 points in 210 NHL games. Plus 6 goals in 16 games vs VGK.
