  • Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Gets no targets in Thursday's loss

Hyatt didn't receive any targets against the 49ers in a Week 3 loss Thursday.

Hyatt provided a boost to the Giants' passing game with two catches for 89 yards against Arizona in Week 2, but he didn't see a single ball thrown his way against San Francisco. This was the second time the rookie speedster has been shut out in receptions through three games this season, and he's yet to be on the field for more than 22 offensive snaps in any contest. With that context in mind, Hyatt isn't a reliable option in fantasy at this point in the campaign.

  • Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Leading receiver against Cards

Hyatt caught both his targets for 89 yards in Sunday's 31-28 win over the Cardinals.

The rookie flashed his big-play ability as he led the Giants in receiving yards, hauling in a 58-yard reception on the team's first play of the second half to kick-start a comeback from a 20-0 deficit. Hyatt failed to catch his only target in his NFL debut last week, and while he may not see big volume as part of a crowded wideout depth chart, his ability to get deep figures to be a key element of the New York passing game this season. Up next Thursday night is a Week 3 clash with a 49ers secondary that just saw another rookie, Puka Nacua, erupt for 15 catches and 147 yards against it.

  • Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Invisible in NFL debut

Hyatt didn't catch his lone target in Sunday's Week 1 40-0 blowout loss against the Cowboys.

The Giants drafted Hyatt in the third round of this year's draft to provide a boost to their passing game, but the team's offense struggled as a whole against Dallas' stifling defense Sunday. Hyatt was on the field for just 25 of New York's 70 offensive snaps, fourth-most among wideouts on the team behind Darius Slayton (47 snaps), Parris Campbell (47) and Isaiah Hodgins (42). It's uncertain where Hyatt stands in the pecking order, but he may struggle to produce if he's on the field less than half the time. The rookie will look to make a stronger impression in next Sunday's matchup against the Cardinals.

  • Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Quiet in preseason finale

Hyatt failed to catch his lone target in Saturday's preseason loss to the Jets on Saturday.

Hyatt put together a strong showing against the Panthers last week (4-35-1), but he failed to get involved in the Giants' final tune-up game. The rookie wideout brings tremendous speed as a slot receiver, but he may find it hard to earn snaps ahead of veteran starters Isaiah Hodgins and Darius Slayton out of the gate. Assuming he makes the final roster, Hyatt should provide depth for the Giants ahead of a Week 1 matchup against the Cowboys on Sept. 10.
