Avery was signed by the Packers after an impressive showing during a tryout at the beginning of training camp. However, he was unable to make an impression during the Packers' two preseason contests, allowing Willington Previlon and Carlo Kemp to surpass him on the depth chart.

Josh Avery: Let go by Seattle
The Seahawks waived Avery (undisclosed) with a non-football injury designation Monday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Avery passed through waivers unclaimed Tuesday, per the league's official transactions report. The undrafted rookie out of Southeast Missouri will be free to search for a depth role elsewhere when healthy.
