Chestnut joined the Titans as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2022 season. He was inactive for each of Tennessee's first 11 games but closed the season with an increased role as he suited up for the final six contests. While Derrick Henry will continue to dominate carries out of the backfield in 2023, Chestnut could be a valuable special teams contributor, as he chipped in at least 40 kick return yards in three of the last five games to close 2022.

Chestnut played 14 offensive snaps, second on the team behind Hassan Haskins. Chestnut was elevated from the practice squad for the second time in as many weeks ahead of Sunday's loss to Jacksonville. With Hassan Haskins (hip) inactive and Trenton Cannon (knee) on IR, the undrafted rookie served as Tennessee's third-string running back behind Dontrell Hilliard, who was forced out with a neck injury. Chestnut did not record a rush across his seven offensive snaps, but he did haul in both of his targets for eight yards. He also returned two kickoffs for 53 yards across 12 special-teams snaps. With Hilliard already ruled out Week 15 versus the Chargers, it's likely that Chestnut would be elevated to serve as Tennessee's No. 2 running back if Haskins also remains sidelined.

Chestnut was on the team's 53-man roster, but he was waived from it Saturday. He now rejoins the team, but this time on the practice squad. He'll use the opportunity to earn a chance to get back on the active roster.
