• Falcons' Dylan Drummond: Staying in Atlanta

  Drummond signed a reserve/future contract with the Falcons on Monday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports. Drummond spent his 2024 campaign with the Falcons' practice squad after failing to make the active roster in late August. He was elevated to the active roster ahead of Atlanta's Week 16 win over the Giants but was a healthy scratch on game day. Expect Drummond to compete for a depth spot in the Falcons' wide-receiver corps this offseason.

• Dylan Drummond: Reverts to practice squad

  Drummond reverted to the Falcons' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. The second-year wide receiver was inactive for Sunday's blowout win over the Giants since wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge (ribs) was cleared to play ahead of the matchup. Drummond's elevation status should now be contingent on the health of Atlanta's receiving corps heading into a matchup against the Commanders in Week 17.

  Drummond (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants. Drummond was elevated from the Falcons' practice squad Saturday for the first time this season. However, he will not suit up Sunday due to KhaDarel Hodge (ribs) being cleared to play. Drummond's next opportunity to be elevated to the active roster will be for Week 17 against the Commanders on Sunday, Dec. 29.

  The Falcons elevated Drummond from the practice squad Saturday. Drummond's elevation coupled with Chris Blair's signing to the 53-man roster would seem to indicate KhaDarel Hodge (ribs) is on the wrong side of the questionable tag ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants. Drummond appeared in one game for the Lions last season, playing five snaps on offense and another three on special teams. He's yet to see action in 2024 and is still looking for his first NFL target.

Drummond caught six passes for 22 yards during the preseason, which wasn't enough to make the team's final roster. However, the Eastern Michigan product was able to show enough to stick around in the organization as practice-squad depth.

  The Falcons signed Drummond on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The Eastern Michigan product was most recently with the Giants' practice squad, but he's now been given a new opportunity in Atlanta. Drummond's only in-game action came Week 5 of the 2023 NFL season with the Lions, playing a total of eight snaps and failing to record a single stat. Expect Drummond to compete for a depth role in Atlanta's wide receiver room as the offseason unfolds.

  Drummond was cut from the Lions' practice squad Wednesday. Drummond joined Detroit in the spring as an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Michigan. After being unable to make the squad out of camp, he secured a practice squad spot, which resulted in one elevation to the active roster in Week 5 against the Panthers. In a corresponding move, the Lions signed fellow wideout Tom Kennedy to the practice squad.
